I've been using this waste facility for many years . Never a problem and all staff very friendly and helpful. All you have to do is follow the County rules when it comes to sorting your load. Sort your load before you arrive and your visit will go more smoothly and quicker. The sorting rules are there for a reason. 10 stars for these great folks.
Very organized and clean. I went on a really windy day and sand was blowing everywhere as I was trying to unload carpet/underlay. One of the workers saw me struggling and brought his loader over to block the wind while I unloaded. Needless to say I was extremely impressed- thanks man!
Nov 11. I had to call to see if open. The web site said OPEN and gave hours of operation. By phoning I found out that Municipal Workers and therefore waste stations are all closed for Remembrance Day. I agree with that but let’s have an up to date web site showing that. Thank you
Have been going to this dump since it opened. We have ALWAYS taken all our items to the dump, many many times paying the "minimum charge" for only a couple small items that should have been $2 instead of $10. So imagine how happy we were when the fellow working said, don't worry about coming back across the scale after we drop off the 4 empty blue plastic containers we had. How nice, after all these years to get a friendly little gesture. Fast forward a couple weeks until our next trip to the dump, when we are told that not only do we owe a $100 fine, but after waiting a very long time in line, we also cannot dump our load of items. We felt embarrassed, and also upset that we were being accused of dropping our blue plastics and then making a run for the gate without paying. In the end the fine was dropped to the $10 that the load would have cost us in the first place. Over the years we even paid to take garbage to the dump that we picked up off the side of the road, and also a cleaned up a huge mess at Station Park years ago. Just a friendly reminder to never accept a gift from the County of Simcoe.
Super clean and organized. Friendly staff. You can sort out the waste yourself at different stations or pay extra to drop off mixed load in one location. Metals are free and recycling as well I believe.
I have been coming here for many years now mostly for my work but also for personal house garbage the odd time aswell. Sometimes there is a line but it usually always moves very quickly.Great customer service and employees are always kind and in good spirits. Also a very clean dump.
There was quite a long line up and I had to wait about fifteen minutes to get in when I went on Tuesday about 3 pm. The clerk at the weigh station was efficient and pleasant enough and explained where to take everything. The employee by the household waste area was very helpful and friendly as well.
Upon entering facility saturday june 15 th i was greeted by a disrespectful young lady who could not be bothered to explain where to take waste to and the order in which to unload. Because of her attitude and disrespectful behavior, a simple $ 5.00 cost turned into an $80.00 expense. Not an enjoyable experience. When 90% of items were free to dispose of, paying $80.00 was obviously wrong and unnecessary but was told the charge could not be reversed .
Its a dump for heavens sake....but great staff and very helpful..l will be coming back
I have been here countless times and can't say I've ever had a bad experience. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and the wait times have never been an issue, even during COVID.
