Countryside in Durand is as much like the old time hardware store as we can get nowadays.  I just bought a throttle spring for my lawnmower, and you can still buy nuts and bolts bulk just like you used to.  Friendly and competent, they will do their best to help you anyway they can.  Good hardware store!
