A standalone spot in front of a strip mall. Inside is a wide open place where the back 2/3 is cut off for bakery needs and the front for customers. The have shelving around the front woth various goods to buy. I got a Cinnamon Roll and a Brownie Cake. Both were between $3 and $4. They looked pretty, but when I had them that night both were very ehh. The brownie was better than the Roll, but I'd skip both. Overall a 2 star review. Not even average so doesn't qualify for 3 stars. I wouldn't come again. I was really surprised because this place had multiple recommendations.
So, my one child is legitimately allergic to egg & dairy and peanuts, so desserts for him are always extremely difficult, and we have to bring our own to whatever function, or he has to skip out on all the treats why the other unknowingly kids feast in front of him. Poor guy. I -called ahead of time- and this family bakery made my son special cupcakes he could eat, so he could share them at his school classroom for his birthday! And, another time for his Christmas party at school, I had his made so he could have one along the other children, and the leftover cupcakes we enjoyed at home Helped his day feel “normal” for once! Super grateful! Besides that, the Bakers are friendly and humble! Prefer to support the local “Little guys” and help them make a living, instead of the corporate giants! Support this business!
Me and my husband stopped in looking for something sweet and the cupcakes and Heath Chocolate Chip Oatmeal cookies called our name. The cupcakes are AMAZING. The frosting made both of us say "Wow!" While we were eating. The cupcakes were moist and just the right amount of sweet. Can't wait to stop in next year
Went here for the first time the other day. Literally, no one greeted when I walked in and I stood at the register while three women behind the counter continued to ignore me until a man came over and rang up my cinnamon rolls. The cinnamon rolls themselves were alright but the frosting had an odd, bland, coconut-like taste to it.
Every time I go to Ludington, this place is a must-stop. My family and I just love the danishes, carrot cake, and granola bars, they're incredible. It takes like homemade food without a lot of chemicals and additives, which I love, and it's always fresh. If you are looking for a fancy dancy bakery experience with frills and such you won't find it here because the food speaks for itself. It's relaxed and clean, very homey. Please keep baking this way and don't change!
Love the granola bars. The cinnamon rolls are delicious. Really, everything is great. Make a point to stop by.
I came all the way from Atlanta to get our Hummingbird cake. No one makes them better than Daniel and Catherine at Country View. Also left with homemade granola several varieties, MI cherry preserves and a pumpkin roll that melts in your mouth. They offer a wide variety of baked goods, baking supplies and even fresh pasta noodles. Easy to place orders and they even went to the the Post Office to ship cakes to my elderly parents in MT.
This is the BEST home town Amish bakery in Michigan, Kathryn and her Husband made all our wedding desserts last year including cupcakes, personal sizes pies, cookies and cake and the cost was ALMOST unbelievably cheap. And they catered to our every need, gluten free items, etc. all non-gmo and incredibly DELICIOUS!! We stop here every single time we visit Ludington and spend TONS of $$. You can’t get anything like this anywhere. They even have other items like meats, cheese, granola, honey, jam, variety of floors, etc. you won’t be disappointed!!!
Never spent $68.00 at a bakery. But needed to bring cinnamon rolls and honey roasted peanut butter granola back to my kids in Atlanta, by request.
The best cinnamon rolls I have ever tasted in my life...and I have had them all over the country including Amish made from southern Ohio that I thought were great until I tasted these. Everything else was on par. Peanut butter rice crispy with chocolate was the size of a brick! Fresh breads and pies too! The lady workingpossibly owner was a delight to talk to while getting my items. I will absolutely stop in here again when I am in the area!
