The wings, THE WINGS are to die for. Their signature sauce is so good. The service was top notch. This was a recommendation from someone & I am so happy we stopped in. They give you plenty of food, so there are lots of leftovers. I would pass on the Mac n cheese though. But the sweet potato fries & wedges were lovely. The biscuits are also a must. Overall fantastic!
The best of the Wings in Rochester. Full breading and the signature sweet and sour County Sweet sauce that makes the experience. Eat in or take out to enjoy later.
Decided to try this place after reading the reviews. I have to say they have the perfect crunchiness and sweetness of chicken wings and delicious, wedges and delicious ribs. Even though i did not like the coleslaw due to a mysterious fish smell but will definitely go back if get a chance. Super friendly service and good price. I doubt that there is a better chicken place than this in Rochester region.
Went to the location on Mt Hope. First time at Country Sweets. I've been looking for gizzards and was told by a friend to try here. The gizzards were excellent. Plenty of gizzard with just the right amount of breading. I got the collard greens and Mac & cheese. Greens were simple and delicious. The size of the sides were bigger than most other places. The price for everything was reasonable. The service was quick and the people friendly. I will definitely be returning. Parking: Plenty of off street parking right in front of the store.
I love Country Sweet! I have been enjoying their delicious wings since the 80s. Their chicken dishes are tangy, sweet of course, and make my mouth happy. There is something about the texture of the wings that make them more pleasing to chew than any others around. They have some kind of magic breading or coating or something that I can't specifically identify. And I don't want it to be identified. Because magic should remain a mystery. Especially when it's this delicious. I recommend the Wing Dinner or the Half Chicken Dinner I like the Mild sauce, either of which will be served with two sides. The macaroni salad is my number one recommendation. Staff is always friendly but plan to wait a while for your food. I don't know why it takes so long to get an order together but it doesn't matter. It's worth the wait! The dining room is a bit austere - diner-style booths but it's not a place you go to for the ambiance. Make your mouth happy and go!
I've eaten here about twice a week for the past 6 months, which adds up to at least $500 that I've spent here. So I can give a reasonable report on the food and service. First, the food is pretty good for the price. I don't just eat it because I'm hungry, but because I want to eat something that tastes good and is satisfying. Second, the service is pretty good compared to other establishments in the area. There is a typical wait time if ordering in person; however, there is never a wait if I order on the phone 15-20 minutes before getting there. There is also occasionally a circumstance where they have run out of chicken. This has only happened twice for me, which was an opportunity to try their pork ribs which are excellent but also somewhat expensive. Third, the people working there have respect for the customers if the customers are respectful of them. Some people are intolerant of even the slightest errors and then their empathy goes out the window. I've seen it a couple times, and the first time that there wasn't chicken I was a little irritated myself. But I understand their system now so I will not feel that way. Summary: the food itself is great and consistently so for the price, but frankly, for any price. The service is good if you understand how their system works and you know what you want and have patience. Just like anywhere, respect the employees and they'll give you respect, especially in the occasion that something is not as expected. I recommend the 3-piece breast and wing barbecue or hot sauce dinner with the French fries and mac and cheese. Or you could try the pork ribs which are really good.
There's always this one lady there when I go. Today her hair was blue. She's great the best attitude and personality and stays ontop of the orders like a boss. People like her make the experience great. 51 for 3 meals shrimp and fish.. fish and tenders meals with 3 corn bread not bad
Food was a big disappointment. Had called and ordered Food. Arrived a hour later Food still not ready also lost phone order. After waiting over 20 minutes. The Food was terrible. The chicken and salad had no taste. Throw 65.00 in the garbage. I live in NJ and always talked about country sweet. I will not be back to country sweet on Mt hope Ave.
We stopped on our way back from sea breeze & had the sweet country chicken wings dinner and OMG everything was so delicious. Best, crispiest wings I’ve had in a long time and that sauce is so unique and motasty. The Mac and cheese was mouthwatering as well, definitely a new favorite! We will be making another 1h20min drive just for this food, and for such a great price it’s worth it.
Best chicken wings in ny in my opinion. I always get mines fried hard with sauce on the side. Get the big size if bleu cheese, it's way more chunkier. Highly recommend experiencing this establishmentFood: 5/5
