Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Sandusky South, OH

I stayed in their King Size Whirlpool Suite and it was a nice size room. Whirlpool seated 2 average sized adults comfortably, but it could be a bit deeper. Also, it would be nice if the suite had a microwave inside the room. But, at least there's one in the lobby and I had a very mini fridge in the room. The TV was only 32" so I think a 40" would have been nicer. But, it had really good sound, in fact, I kept turning it down later in the night because I didn't want to be disturbing the other rooms. The air conditioner would fine because I was able to moderate how hot or cold I wanted it in the room. It had a nice, strong fan that controlled the temperature of the room. The staff are very pleasant and courteous, so I have no complaints in that area. Although I missed their 6am-10am breakfast, they have an elaborate spread of choice from different types of cereal, waffles, and I believe bagels as well. Lastly, my reason for 4 out 5 stars is because their air vents in the bathroom are filthy and need to be vacuumed. You can literally see all of the dust and dirt outside of the vent. So, I would say that they should make cleaning their vents part of the housekeeping weekly or bi-weekly tasks. I attached a picture to show how dirty it is. I wasn't bothered by this personally, but if we are talking about rating the condition of the hotel and its room, then I need to talk about the good and bad. Overall, I'd stay here again at their Sandusky-Milan, OH location.

Thank You to your Staff very friendly!!! Great service clean rooms, granddaughters loved the swans & little notes... We all enjoyed our stay & breakfast!! Delma was a very pleasant & sweet person, she treated everyone like family... Can't forget Earl he was also great with us!! Great team workers!! Thanks to all.. very recommended...

Great place to stay even better for those who have pets! Remodel for spring of 2018 go check it out! You wont regret it!

Stayed for two days with a large group of people while we went to Cedar Point (it's about a 20 min drive to and from hotel). There are a lot of amenities near by such as Walmart, Kohl's, restaurants, etc. They were able to accommodate most of our rooms being together. The staff was very friendly and helpful, making sure that guests were comfortable and seeing if they needed anything. The outdoor pool was great. It was clean, heated and had towels on the side. The only con was that there wasn't a fridge or microwave, so we just contentiously went to the ice bucket to keep drinks cold. They do have a sign up stating they will be adding larger beds, microwaves and mini fridges to the rooms by Spring 2018, so they clearly do listen to customers to improve everyone's experience. Breakfast was provided and had a decent selection. Bagels, cereal, waffles, fruit, etc. The main thing is that the rooms were clean! I always check the beds before I get into them. I would stay here again and recommend it!

Very clean. Average rooms are to be redecorated fall-winter of 2017. Better suites, queen-sized beds. Bfast lacked- eggs! No eggs (neither hot nor cold). Otherwise, normal breakfast. Clean area. Outdoor pool. When closed for the season, patrons can go to the neighboring hotel. Open til 1am. Works. Quiet vicinity.
