Me and my family came in to order 4 items on the menu and the total was over 50$. And I ordered the calamari but I got 7-10 pieces hoping i could get more. If i'm being honest about this place it is very over priced. No offence but i wouldn't come back here.
So disappointed. Would not recommend. Wouldn’t eat here again. Heard it was good so we checked it out. Don’t think anyone over 18 was working, if they were, barely. None of the employees wanted to be there you could tell. The boy taking our order kept spacing out. Food was less than ok. Double burger was nothing special, kids hated the jr burger, pickerel burger was super disappointing as it was mostly a bun!! I ended up taking off the bottom bun after 2 bites so I could actually taste my meal. Fries were a large helping but they were so greasy most of ours went untouched, same with sweet potato fries. Would not recommend or eat here again. We had other relatives say the same thing on different days this week!! We had ice cream there as well, lots of selection but I’m not sure if their freezers are going or they took their time getting it to us, it melted as it was passed to us. I know it’s summer and it’s hot but it shouldn’t be melting being passed out the window in my opinion.
Wow! Not a good wow either. Walked in with my family of 8 ready to order a good sized meal. The lady at the front counter was extremely rude and should not be the face of this business. I’d give this place 0 stars if there is an option but unfortunately it’s not. She seems to be ok with losing business because of a poor attitude. Avoid this place at all costs. Brutal.
I don't normally post negative reviews, however, I was appalled by the attitude of the staff at Country Boys. The staff members rolled her eyes several times at my family as we placed our order. The portions were incredibly small considering the price. And the butterscotch dip didn't even taste like butterscotch. Last year, during Covid my family tried to order from their outdoor order window and the staff member opened the window a crack and told us we had to wear a mask to order and slammed the window shut. Numerous families were standing around outside shocked that we were being treated like we had a disease simply because we didn't want to wear a mask outside. There are quite a few ice cream establishments in Gimli that have great prices and very friendly staff. I would highly recommend walking down a few doors to Buskers or Beach Boys to order.
My wife and I ordered cheeseburgers with everything on them. Disappointing! The bun was dry. Hardly anything on the burger and had to look for the cheese! Even the meat was thin. McDonald’s would have been much better! If you want customers to come back put more passion and effort into your food!
Worst dining experience ever, was excited to eat here until the lady who works there was blunt, she was SO RUDE and SO VERY RACIST. She spoke kindly and laughed to everyone else except when it came to us. We first were laughing and she was just non responding, then the poutine smelled spoiled and the fries wasn’t fresh, when I went to tell her she stayed where she was didn’t bother to look at me and said yea what do you want then, she took the tray “with the whole meal” and went to the kitchen put it inside then came back asking rudely “do you want something else then?” I replied sure I can take onion rings, and I let her know that she also took my burger, she then got the burger and gave it to me in my hand, I asked for a plate or tray, she got me a tray and said “okay onion rings, go now, sit down” with inappropriate and rude hand movement demanding me to sit down. This is the worst experience ever.
Older lady serving us was so rude ordering ice cream! Made it an unpleasant experience didn’t even want the ice cream anymore, nor was it that good. Not suprised to see other reviews like this
This is our go to place for ice cream in Gimli. The owner lady is so good with my kids!! They think she’s so funny!! The inside is a fun retro theme that looks cool in photos!
Worse restaurant in Gimli. Sorry i even have to give 1 staer, Worst service , and filthy. A few other much better, cleaner friendlier places to eat on same street. Would of been dine in but we ended up walking out.
Got the Blizzard equivalent from Country Boy last week. Was disappointed with the flavour. I got a chocolate mint one and it mostly tasted like vanilla soft serve with a very mild minty flavour. Same with my partner's one different flavour.
