We love supporting this small business. Every time we have went to visit it’s been busy. The barista and owners are amazing. It’s so great to have this little coffee shop in this beautiful small town. Thanks for all you do Council Mountain Coffee!
Skylar is kind, welcoming and makes the best pumpkin, caramel, chai, iced cold expresso drinks. The pastries are good and the laundry mat and bathrooms are clean. May the Good Lord bless this establishment.
What a great treat in Council. Perfect for locals or those just passing by. They offer coffee, tea, Italian sodas, treats, and a great environment. They also have a small giftshop, and FREE Library inside as well as a small library box on the outside of the building. And even more amazing treat, was that I found the book I illustrated for sale in their gift shop, 'I saw a purple bubble' is an illustrated poem for children, so if you pass by buy my book. Hehe! The barista is talented and friendly, exactly what you want at a coffee shop. The locals are also friendly. The atmosphere is clean, bright, and adorably decorated. Highly recommend stopping here if you're passing through this little town.
Very charming little coffee shop in Council with excellent coffee, a wide selection of flavors, baked treats, and other local goods for sale. The staff usually the owner are very friendly and pleasant. Best coffee within 50 miles, definitely worth going out of your way to go here.
We were staying in the area and needed to do laundry so we stopped by. It was a clean place and we were able to get amazing drinks and even play checkers! We enjoyed the locals and the conversation. Definitely a place to visit again.

Good coffee. I asked for a dark chocolate mocha and they didn't have the dark chips but they put in a dark chocolate syrup and it was really good!!! Parking: Decent amount of parking.
Very good espresso drinks and great service! Try their baked goods and sweets, they’re local. Also a good spot to chill and play chess or read.
I really want to like and support a local business, however several things happened to receive a 1 star review. The staff was friendly but I could tell they got annoyed when I asked for fresh shots rather than the ones sitting on the espresso machine from 5 minutes ago how dare I! Then I was asked if I was okay with no ice in my iced drink….since the fresh shots melted the ice who trained these employees on how to make drinks?. Because of that I asked for a larger size cup of ice to dump this watered down drink into, and I was then charged for the larger size drink due to their insufficient coffee making. The other drink I ordered was just plain hot coffee, this drink was ok besides only being filled 3/4 of the way up…..
Always stop when going thru council. 6-10 times a summer. Great coffee and pastries. Very friendly staff. Recommend and will return.
