Beautiful beach located in Orilia. A great place for the family. Kids can enjoy the small park, a short train ride and safe swimming for all to enjoy. Well maintained area clean bathrooms facilities, and green areas. Enjoy admiring the boats along the water horizon. With a welcoming community, this beach park is a must to visit with the family!
beautiful park. visited during winter time in beginning of January. lake was frozen. could see from far end. nice trail to walk, public washrooms and park and play area for kids. nice beach for the summer. near by places like port of Orillia were under construction and maintenance and hence closed. drive on the Bay Street and then maple drive is scenic as surrounded by water on one side and beautiful houses on the other. would definitely come again with family specially during summer time. people were nice and friendly around as well.
Absolutely loveeeeew this cute little beach - park - and a lot lot more this small place has to offer . The parking right is front is 50$ for the day but the rest of the places around the park .. near n the yacht parking are all free of cost . There are two small parks with rides for kids and swings etc. There is a small beach area where the sand and beach both are really nice and warm . The best part.. the beach has the baywaych kind - guards who are really pro active and hence makes it a safe place for the kids to learn swimming in the nature . There was a small fair happening where there were Mary go round , a small cute train , dragon ride , bouncy castle and corn maze . There were stalls for some local businesses and popcorn . An easy whole day spent . Another best part , the washrooms are very close to beach and not super crowded and also very very neat . A big thanks to the beach guards and authorities who maintain the whole area . Very impressive. And yes you can also get lifeguard jackets - no extra charges . Happy beach day guys… u r in for a treat . Also .. don’t forget to have a look at all the lovely yachts parked
Beautiful and cute park. We visited during Labour day long weekend and there was Pirate party with live music. It was very lively! Must visit if you are in Orillia!
We truly found a little wonder all the way in Orillia with this one. Great parks right by the beach with new gym equipment for the kids. The beach was so sandy. Just wonderful. They also had an outdoor theater and a concert playing. So many things to do in one park. My only issues with the place was that every few steps one would be enveloped in weed aroma. I find the smell revolting personally. Also we saw a grown man taking a proper soapy shower in the water. Weird. Other than that, we had such a great time!
Beautiful beach, dock and port area. Great spot for fishing. They have 2 different dock areas one close to beach and other near the boat area. We caught some sunfish, bass and pike. Would totally recommend to anyone interested in fishing.
Lovely park with very nice view, quiet when we visited there on Friday. Not a very big park but worth to take a look and take a short walk. Just around 30mins drive from Barrie, good to take a one day trip to visit Barrie and Orillia together
Great spacious park with kids playground. I like the waterfront trail, it’s good for walking and cycling. Can be busy on weekends.
Loved it. Came up for a 3 day visit. Had one full day downtown orillia and the beach was beautiful. Beach, parks, shower station, change rooms, bathrooms, benches, picnic tables, large grass area, large body of water. Not to many boats and not crazy busy so we went out on our paddleboards. Such a good time. Sat there reading for the morning, what a life!
Awful experience at Couchiching Beach park. Parking used to be free but is now $50 and BBQ on the grass is no longer allowed. The park has security guards that are super aggresive and very eager to give out tickets. I witnessed them writing a parking citation while someone was still in the car which was outrageous. The water is dirty and park itself is very plain. I would definitely recommend going to other parks/beaches in the area like Mara where it is much nicer, BBQ is allowed and parking is way cheaper.
