Costa’s candy is the best! I have sent a lot of my store customers to Costa’s for candy and always purchase candy for my family. I miss their restaurant as it was my favorite place to eat in Owatonna. Times and lives change. Best wishes to Julie & Grant in this new endeavor!
My granddaughter and I were on an adventure in the area today. We found this most delicious fresh candy shop and a wonderful kind caring shop keeper who when I asked about the history, was well informed and we so enjoyed hearing about it. We requested a gift box and were encouraged to choose the individual pieces that we felt the recipient would enjoy the most as well as chocolates for ourselves. The gift was a big hit! The flavors were wonderfully delicious and unique. We thank you for taking time with us today. We wish the wonderful family who acquired this business and made it their own much success. No worries to all, I asked and was told that they also purchased the recipes so this long established business will continue offering the handmade candies that are most enjoyed! Thank you for your kindness and professionalism. I encourage all families that may be in the area to stop in and enjoy as well. We both enjoyed seeing where the candies were actually made and the burner that continues into new generations...
We buy Costas Candies for our friends and family and it's always a hit! We even had a out of state friend immediately order some online after getting a box as a thank you! Love love love the carmels and toffee!
This is the best chocolatier I have ever found! it's a must stop if you are in town or you can now order online. Worth it!
I just visited with a friend who knows her chocolates and we both highly recommend. The caramels are amazing but you can’t go wrong with the truffles either. Wickedly delicious! Friendly staff too!
Costa's has become home for some of our family traditions! The food here is fantastic. The candy here is outta this world delicious. This gem of a restaurant has specific hours for candy service and food service so just be sure to call ahead to make sure they are serving food! If you can make it in for a lunch sometime, do it! You won't be disappointed!!
My family and I are really going to miss the restaurant after going there for breakfast over the last 50 plus years. My mom, Marcy Randall worked there as a teenager in1950’s and has loved eating there ever since. She still tells us stories of the past every time we come home from Texas. Our family, especially my mom will miss going to the restaurant on a weekly basis. Thank you for keeping the candy business so we can continue to create memories in the future!
Good food and even better candies I would eat there every day if they were open for dinner. Especially love their Philly Cheese steak on pita bread pita part isn't on their menu but they are more than willing to accommodate my request and their soups and chilli are awesome. Never been disappointed.
Absolutely fabulous! I might be a bit prejudice because Costas has been part of my family history since it opened in 1919.
The chocolates here are top notch! The truffles, toffee, and buttercream are all superb. My favorite are the Irish cream truffles! It is expensive though, good to have on special occasions, not as a daily purchase.
