Costa Sorrento

We had dinner there 2 times, both times were great. The atmosphere, the food, the decor, the service are all great. We had a great time dinner there. We ordered pasta, pizza to desserts. They were all above expectation. The staffs were friendly and gave good recommendations. Definitely recommend this restaurant for family, birthday and friends gathering there.

100% the best Italian place I've ever been to. I live in Kitchener and would definitely bring my family all the way here. Everything about the food we got was great. The pasta was perfectly cooked, sauce was perfectly seasoned and the pizza was on point. The dessert platter lived up to expectations. The service is amazing, I asked for an iced coffee which they don't have on the menu and the waitress made it for me with no hesitation. I will be coming here more often.

Decent food, a bit pricey, beautiful dining room and very friendly staff. I came on date night an hour before closing but they were accommodating. The squid was alright, it was a bit sour. But the spaghetti with zucchini was definitely the star. It was a bit oily and the noodles were a bit overdone for my taste but it was still good. The gnocchi was also fantastic, very soft and tasty with a meaty ragu.

Excellent food, great atmosphere and perfect service. The waitress was informative and friendly. At one point the chef had come into the dining area, full of flour asking customers how they liked the food. I've never seen that before and I thought it was great.

Really enjoyed the decor and brightness of this restaurant. There is also a small patio area. Our waiter provided excellent service. The gnocchi with bolognese sauce was my favorite. The lemon herb risotto with smoked salmon was a bit different from other risottos that I've tried. The Margherita pizza crust was nice and thin but middle was soggy. Tiramisu was a nice dessert to end the meal.

Great atmosphere. Unique takes on family style Italian menu. Simple but elevated. Found the service a little disorganized, no dedicated waiter which meant waiting around to put our order in.Food: 4/5

The grilled octopus is tender and tasty. The mushroom truffles pasta is delicious, so good that you can smell it. The veal dish is so so, not a fan of it. Kind of disappointed with the tiramisu as it doesn't taste like tiramisu. Service is good!Food: 4/5

I had the pleasure of dining out with some friends a little over a week ago. We enjoyed some great tasting Italian food at Costa Sorrento in their private dining room. We had mostly a custom menu and everything tasted amazing, from start to finish. We started with a platter of preserved meats and vegetables with some cheese and crostini. Great start! Next came some delicious house-made anchovies, pizza, and their Fritto Di Scoglio platter Fried calamari, shrimp, smelts, basil aioli. A very delicious pasta dish was next. The pasta and meat sauce had the perfect consistency and flavour! It was delicious! Everything tasted amazing and we were feeling stuffed BUT there was more to come! These were just the appetizers! What??? Every course, except the pasta, was served family style and the next course was impressive! This platter had Lamb Chops, Steak, Chicken, Sausages, Grilled Vegetables, and Fries with Truffle Oil. Very impressive! It was time to shift gears and dig in to this great looking platter! OMG! Everything tasted as good as it looked! Perfectly cooked meats with amazing flavours! Yummm! Now we were really stuffed but then dessert showed up! Damn! Gotta loosen the belt for this. Most of us could only manage a taste of each and it was all very good! At the end of the night, we were all very stuffed with delicious authentic Italian food and we actually had leftovers from each course. There was a lot of food! And it was all outstanding! As was the service! Of course, it wouldn't be an Italian meal without wine, red wine. I didn't get a look at the label but it was very enjoyable. I may have had a cocktail too. How else would you celebrate with friends you haven't seen for a while? Cheers! The service and ambiance were very impressive. If you like Italian food, you have to check out Costa Sorrento! You won't be disappointed!

My husband and I have passed by this restaurant at least 20 times after date nights at the cinema nearby and kept meaning to try it out. Despite VIP cinema tickets and snacks we finally went today. We order the Bosco salad, zucchini spaghetti with a side of sautéed mushrooms and the lemon sorbet. The manager very sweetly added a celebratory touch as it was our wedding anniversary. In the past we've ordered at Italian restaurants expecting great things and it has fallen short but Costa Sorrento was excellent! The ingredients fresh, well portioned and presented, flavourful and varied. The service was pleasant, the ambience lovely, friendly and reminded me of being back in Italy, especially with live music playing and it was full of regular customers and I could see why. It is a little on the pricey side and there isn't much range for vegetarians but we left full, satisfied and happy. I would definitely go back and recommend to others.

Came for dinner a few weeks ago with a friend on a weekday so it was pretty quiet but nice atmosphere, the music could have been a tad louder as some moments we didn't notice any background sounds. We ordered: Grilled Octopus Insalata Caprese Gnocchi a la Bolognese Pizza Funghi misti e Tartufo Pear Dessert forgot the name and can't find it on the menu The Octopus had a great char taste and cooked perfectly, bolognese ragu sauce was amazing and the pizza dough had a great bite to it with lots of mushroom toppings and a good amount of truffle taste Love that this is downtown quality food but uptown!
