Equus Advisors, a merging of Cortland Bookkeeping & Tax Service and Equus Business Advisors, LLC, centrally located in Cortland, New York, is a tax and bookkeeping services business that primarily serves clients in the Upstate New York region.
Our business was established by Paul Lorenzo, EA, in 1976 and he recently joined forces with Peter VanderWoude, CPA, CGMA, who has over 30 years of experience in providing quality, personalized financial guidance to individuals and businesses, including agribusinesses. The combined firm's services include tax preparation and planning, bookkeeping, bill payment and payroll preparation.
Today's business person wants and needs fingertip access to their accounting data, financial statements, tax returns and source documents. When the books are prepared in a collaborative, thorough and efficient manner, there is the opportunity to move to the next step and receive a timely analysis of one's business operations. If our clients are ready to move to the cutting edge, we are ready to help.
We limit our bookkeeping and tax services to those general areas mentioned above. We do not sell investments or insurance, nor provide attestation or compilation services such as audited, reviewed or compiled financial statements. Our services are billed on a flat price basis, and discounts are provided for bundled services. For new and continual clients we also offer an attractive discount on tax preparation services for referrals to new clients.
