Don't be fooled by the exterior! This is an excellent deli which usually has a line of 15+ people waiting to get food. They move quickly so you're not waiting very long even at the peak of busyness. Very fresh meats, cheeses, fillings and rolls. A roll with turkey and a bag of chips came to $9 so overall an inexpensive lunch.
greatest deli in america. Hartford landmark. best sandwich you will ever eat. fresh ingredients, and unlike the other delis they are very generous with the meat. my only wish they did a food delivery app and were open longer hrs. cus honestly no other deli comes close!
Holy Cow! What a great Diamond in the rough! This little gem aims to please! I am a UConn student and they gave me a free lunch! Boy am I grateful! I chose the chicken cutlet American style, chips and a drink! It would have costed $8.50 but today was my lucky day! Woot woot! This deli is super clean and it smells great inside from the freshly cooked items! This is a must visit!

An understated but shining place for quality eggs, sandwiches, soups and salads. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The portions are very generous with good quality ingredients. The restaurant is small but clean with enough seating for about 25. Don’t be fooled by the simple curb appeal. The quality, freshness and customer service make it well worth the visit.
Great deli, friendly staff. Recommend calling ahead if you have a bunch of orders. Can be a decent wait during the lunch rush.
I love this place!!! I use to work in downtown Hartford about 11 yrs ago. My favorite is the chicken cutlet anyway. I went back today after 11 years and got my chicken cutlet grinder.it tasted exactly the same way I remembered. This is definitely a gem in downtown Hartford.
Excellent sandwiches and grinders. The staff always have a smile and aim to please guests. Lunch time is busy. Expect a line, but it's well worth the wait. You can order breakfast and lunch. They also serve salads and pasta salad. My favorite grinders are the seafood and crab + their chicken cutlet.
