This is such an interesting restaurant, with three levels of seating and very cool decor. It's nice that they serve brunch until 2:45pm, and that's what we came here for. The service was good, but the food was mediocre. We found out they have in-house craft beer, so we bought two different ones to try at home.Food: 4/5
The service was great and the ambiance & decor of this place was very nice. The food wasn't all that good. The hummus appetizer plate was awful. The worst hummus I have ever had. Very clumpy, too cold and had absolutely no flavor to it at all. The pita bread was also burnt. We did complain and our server Shelby? glady returned it for a replacement. Everything else we had was just mediocre, for the pricing the roasted veggie salad my husband enjoyed. I was willing to give this place a try again for another type of meal e.g. brunch, but my husband has no desire to go back. After the hummus, I stopped taking pictures.
Small spot in stouffville. All the food is locally sourced, so it tasted quite nice and fresh. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was very cozy. Definitely would go again.Food: 5/5
$150 for three people for dinner is pretty steep for a restaurant in Stouffville. We had three drinks and three mains. That’s $50/person! I understand prices are due to inflation and I wouldn’t mind paying at this price but the quality of food was really not worth it. Two stars is for having a table available when we didn’t make a reservation and for the glass of merlot that I drank. I came here with my sister and bro-in-law and all three of our dishes had issues. Given we had a baby and she was a ticking time bomb she was way pass her bed time, we did not get a chance to provide constructive feedback to the waitress and quite honestly, I don’t think the kitchen could improve anything as they missed the mark for ALL three dishes. I hope the restaurant takes this as a constructive feedback and not as an insult. Beef brisket fettuccine: did not have the texture of a brisket. Instead, the meat was chewy, similar to a beef stew and the fettuccine tasted really bland. Not even the ground pepper that was given to us could save this dish. Risotto: way too much zucchini was placed on this dish and for some reason, the risotto tasted really sweet? It was almost like eating a rice pudding for dessert. Cod: the portions were way too small. You get 1/3 of a cod and a small portion of the veggies one broccoli lol and three pieces of kale. My bro-in-law had three bites and he was done in 5 minutes. Waitresses was super friendly but food wise, there needs to be major improvements.
If I could select 3.5 stars I would so I decided to be generous. Service was excellent. Decor is lovely. I got the scallops which were good. Liked everything about the dish except the cauliflower which was undercooked. Texture was pretty much like it was raw. My husband got the rib steak. The steak was obviously good quality and aged. He ordered it medium rare. Because the steak was rather thin, the cook on it was medium tending towards medium well. The mashed potatoes that accompanied it were lukewarm at best. He enjoyed the micro brewery beer. Would we return? I say yes but he is undecided.
Love spaces that offer an elevated menu, yet laid back approach. We had a quick, on a whim brunch with our child under 2 and the food was great. pancakes were a hit with the little one, with enough for a dessert for our meals. Service was happy to have our little one come in and was very accommodating. We'll be coming here again!Food: 5/5
We decided to give this restaurant a try since our Facebook group constantly had people raving about it. The food we ordered was bland and we paid $150 for the 3 of us. These dishes included the brisket fettuccine the meat was tough and quality is definitely not on par with the price and the sad risotto. I barely ate anything from my fettuccine and forced myself to pack it home because I didn’t want it to go to waste. I just drank alcohol for dinner and left really hungry and disappointed. The waitress didn’t even seem she wanted to work there and we waited so long for her to take our order. Needless to say, we won’t ever be going back.
My family and I had an excellent meal at the CornerHouse. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We loved the mussels and the salad. We sat indoor near the patio doors so we could get fresh air, they provided sterilized blankets that we could borrow to stay warm. I recommend the CornerHouse.
Wow. A true farm to table in my own back yard. King Cole duck appetizer, home made Flatbread. Fantastic and wait until you have their home made tzetzeki. Out of this word. Brisket linguini melts in your mouth and of course the pasta is made in house. This is going to be a once a month dinner for sure. Maybe more often once the fresh greens and fruits become available. We also enjoyed a wonderful 2015 Italian red reasonable at 65. Ending with a capachino . 150 plus tip. How good is that? Please keep this a secret, as I will definately want to visit often.
I just tried the new gastropub menu. The selection of beer is great. All I can say is wow this is by far the best food you can eat in stouffville right now Definitely the best restaurant and burger in Stouffville .
