The best deli I've ever eaten at. So many choices including soups, desserts and sides. The guy at the counter was super helpful. The cooks made it fast and delicious. A truly 5 star experience all around.
Excellent, HUGE, fresh deli sandwiches. Wish there been a half size option, as we were not able to take the other half with us while traveling. Soups looked amazing and smelled wonderful. Tempting baked goodies too. Very clean.
Everything is wonderful at this family owned eatery. You won't regret stopping here at all. Bonus is you can order online and it will be waiting for you when you get there! Soups are wonderful, but leave room for dessert.
The BEST BEST BEST Yummy everything. Their tuna melt on raison bread is my go-to. The soups are out of this world. Then tons of fresh pastas & sides made fresh, to choose from. Okay, not done yet, then you will explode from the dessert selection. Make sure to get a carmel apple cookie too. Your tummy will be in heaven here.
Has a nice view sitting out front and the food is amazing. Allow yourself some time when you go because there is a lot to choose from and they all sound delicious. Whether you're getting a sandwich or dessert or both, you won't be disappointed at all. I'm from Buffalo but everytime I go out that way I make it a point to stop here. The only downside is the hours they're open, check before heading there.
Don’t get me wrong, the food is great, but the older blonde lady with the liberal/artsy glasses running the register is rude. She was rude when I wasn’t buying soup, rude again when she asked if I was buying chips, and then rude again when I told her we were drinking water. She tried to guilt me into buying more. She was also rude when my wife asked for a fork and she walked away, found the forks for public use, slammed it in the counter, and yelled “you want a fork, here it is” at the completely opposite end of the showcase. I’m in sales and understand how to treat people, and honestly if you are the owner reading this or maybe you are the owner start treating people like equals if you want returning business. Scovies in Charlevoix it is for us next time…
Tried pumpkin soup with our usual turkey Reubens. Both were amazing. Never been disappointed when I try something new.
The sandwiches are fresh, huge and served on delicious breads. But, 2 sandwiches, 2 bags of chips and 2 drinks= $31 Expensive!!
Excellent food. I had a cornbeef sub. Their Goulash recipe is top-notch as well.
If you’d like a really delicious sandwich served with a whole lot of attitude then this is for you. Over the years they’ve closed early due to running out of supplies and changed their hours on a whim. Had people wait an extra 20-30 minutes for bread to be baked when they were already in line for 40 minutes. An item was left off our order and upon going into to let them know it wasn’t included, the missing item was slammed onto the counter in front of us. We always said this place was worth it, but will not be returning. There’s plenty of other wonderful Deli’s down the street in Petoskey.
