I love this library. It is very spacious and well designed. It has both public study places and silent study rooms. Silent study rooms are very good if you need to concentrate on your studying. The location is also perfect, only walking steps from Lincoln sky train station.nHighly recommended
Terrible experience. I’m giving this library one star due to the unacceptable attitude of the staff.nnI went in to make a quick copy something that takes less than a minute. Since I wasn’t familiar with double-sided printing, I asked for help. A staff member a woman with glasses told me to come back the next day because the printer “wasn’t working,” even though it clearly was. This felt dishonest and unhelpful.nnA few minutes later, another employee a tall young man with curly hair wearing a green jacket approached me and, instead of offering help, told me in a dismissive tone that in a couple of minutes the doors would close and I wouldn’t be able to print anything. It felt more like a warning than assistance. He did not ask if I needed help at any point, and his attitude came across as rude and unwelcoming.nnThe overall treatment I received felt dismissive and unfair. I understand it was close to closing time, but that does not justify this kind of behavior or lack of basic customer service.nnThis was a very frustrating experience, and the level of customer service needs serious improvement.
Nice layout and big windows for sitting and reading a book or d1oing schoolwork. The WiFi works well, fast. Employees are great, very helpful. Beautiful, interesting artwork when I take the time to admire it. One downside I've found is that it can be difficult to find an empty seat around 10-4pm when I've come here to study. Unsure of seating outside of those times. The second downside is that the bathroom at least the women's could use a renovation and/or a deeper clean. The last downside to this library is that the fountain water is almost warm. Other than those things, it's a nice place to find a book and study!
As a parent, I visit this place almost every week. We spend time here together, discover new books, and recently started borrowing DVD series. We began with Avatar: The Last Airbender, and it has been a great experience so far.nThe staff are always helpful, and the facility is generally clean and quiet. There are occasional noises here and there, but that is part of what makes the community feel real, welcoming, and accessible.nIf there’s one thing visitors could be more mindful of, it would be personal hygiene. A little consideration goes a long way in making the space comfortable for everyone.nOverall, it's a wonderful community resource that we truly enjoy visiting.
Came in to study and use library resources for pre-med, left the library after an hour, is the library now a daycare center? Children are running between book aisles and screaming, while absent mothers gather in a corner, chatting. It may be suggested that mothers have chosen the library for its shade from the outdoors and for letting their children run around as if it were their own home, with no acknowledgment of its affect/effect on those trying to study or read. My premise is that there's no care on the mother's part about what their children do in public. Great upbringing where care and control are nonexistent. will be informing further grad students to deviate away from this library, as the city should gut the library and bring out the snack carts for its new daycare center.
