"Cozy pub with a great vibe in the heart of downtown Bowmanville. There are many stories of sighted haunting's and mysterious happenings in this 1822 old house. As new owners of the pub we can honestly say we have a few hair raising tales of our own to tell. With a Nano Brewery on sight we offer 5 craft beer on tap with an addition of ten taps of major brands. All our food is homemade and hearty portion sized with some people saying our bacon batter onion rings are bigger than the burgers they come with. We like to think our food is not just standard pub fare but rather a taste of home where strangers meet and leave as friends."

My family loves this place! It's one of our favourites. Copperworks is one of a kind with the best smoked meat you'll have. We are sad that COVID has hit this pub hard. Please, if you can, help them out by ordering take-out or delivery. You won't be disappointed! P.S if you're gluten-free, all their meat is gf -just order a delicious gluten-free bun make sure you ask for it toasted.
Absolutely fantastic food. staff are friendly and welcoming. Did not know we need a reservation but was still able to get a table the only thing was we order onion rings payed $4 extra for only 5 to me that's a bit much for only 5. But they were very good so I don't mind one bit. Over all it was fantastic food will definitely be backFood: 5/5
decided to try something i wouldn’t normally go for because i knew if Copperworks made it, i’ll like it was not disappointed with the industrial sandwich! huuuge portions too so i now have leftovers for lunch tomorrow I highly recommend the quesadilla too! Copperworks truly has the nicest staff. I know times are tough with lockdowns so i really hope you guys can make it through
Stopped in on a Thursday night while passing through the town, the place was hopping. The beer selection was good the food was great and the Live music was amazing. The servers still made time for small talk and checked in on me even though it was packed. 5 star music, 5 star service
My boyfriend recommended me to go here after he visited this location during work. He was recommended by one of the locals. There is a shortage of staff but that is like everywhere nowadays with COVID-19. They are probably the most friendliest staff I have ever met. The waitress was very friendly, welcoming, attentive, responsive and helpful during the busy night there. Food was amazing and I was very happy with the fish and chips. The sauces on the side were perfect and lattice fries were so crispy. I will definitely be back here to try more food. Very welcoming atmosphere. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. There is parking by the restaurant but also public parking on the street side. Will definitely be back. Thank you for making our nights a good night. It's always nice to get amazing and welcoming customer service at restaurants!
Tried their patio tonight, and loved it! Super cute with great service. We ordered fish and chips, and a beyond burger. The batter for their fish and chips is made with their beer. Their fries are fresh cut and phenomenal! Asked for a mock-tail, and our server recommended one that was really nice. We had been here years ago for a birthday party. We liked the vibe but the food wasn't really for us. I'm so glad we came back! Loved everything about it. Definitely going to come again.
Excellent place, we really enjoyed. Cozy bar and dining areas in former rooms of a transformed house. Personalized recommendations on menu selections from server. A fabulous smoked brisket dip sandwich. Loved it.
Amazing service, live music and the food is so good!! Can't beat it for a local pub in Bowmanville - my go to spot for take out or dine in! The reuben sandwich is my favourite here!!
First time here at the end of September. Parking is on the side of the building. Don't mistake the door where vehicles are parked for the front door. The front door is facing the street beside the patio which was closed but looks very nice. Inside feels very cozy and homely. Dining oriented area on the right side. Seating wraps around the bar to the left with additional tables on the side. Staff was extremely friendly. Happy to help with any requests we had. Very knowledgeable about the menu and was able to provide a wonderful dining experience. Drinks are very well priced. The house brewed beers available are worth a try. Food was very well prepared and arrived in a timely manner. Anything out of the smoker is a must try. Couldn't finish all the food. It looks small but it's filling. Overall, great place to enjoy some comfortable dining and drinks.
We went on Saturday night and didn’t have a reservation. They still sat us on the patio even though it was hopping busy. The food was good and the waitress tried her best although she was run off her feet. We had fun and chatted while we ate. We were not rushed. The prices were good for the quality and portion. We didn’t see much of the inside but it seemed nice and cozy. I’ll go again.
