Portions are extremely small!!! Food isn't good. That's the beef Bourgogne 400g. Do not bother

Good food but the delivery service is unreliable and chaotic. Every Sunday I have to spend the whole day checking my phone as the shipping tracker changes the expected delivery time over and over again. Yesterday’s order said it was scheduled between 11pm and 12:30 am ?!!! and then didn’t even show up. Of course it’s up to me to call around and figure out what happened. Now the food is rescheduled for delivery, but is it safe to eat? No longer ordering from cookit.

Since I started ordering Cook it my life has changed! The entire process was created to serve better their customers. Starting by the delivery, it is always on time, the preparation is easy and well explained, the food is delicious, the portion is generous. I definitely recommend it.

First order from Cook it, still waiting for my food after 36h it was handed to the delivery service. The said delivery service is Xpedigo and they have a 1.8 rating on google reviews... On top of making me loose money and time the food is obviously gone bad by now, even if the box is insulated, it's still a cardboard box afterall, it's a massive waste.  I will be going with WeCook instead, as should you the person reading this review. Or any other service that does not do business with such a horrible delivery company.

Have received boxes for a few weeks now. So far so good. I find the menu options vary a lot, which is important. I like the fact that at least 50% of the food is sourced locally during the winter. The food tastes great, fun to do. The pantry section is awesome as well, you get to order extra stuff you might need such as pasta, salt, spices, etc. The options to cook deserts and stuff is great too!  Only critic is once or twice it happened where a tomato or an onion was crushed upon opening. Not a big deal but perhaps could have been prevented depending on the way the bags were put into the box.  Overall, very satisfied!

A nice variety of meals I usually get 2 vegetarian and 1 chicken mean, dead easy prep, and a variety of fun and interesting flavours. I've definitely picked up some tricks and flavour combinations I'll use on my own. The service has helped a lot during a really busy time at work, when I wouldn't otherwise have the time, energy, or mental resources to cook for myself.  My only comment is the packaging, and I know this is something the company is committed to improving, but it would be particularly nice to be able to send the big boxes and cooling packs back to be reused.

Recipes are amazing! Everything is so fresh and delicious. I also like the pantry, and how the items change for different holidays and or seasons. Prices are more than fair, and there’s less garbage/waste afterwards, we love it.

I am updating my review. I keep getting charged after begging them to cancel my account. My experience with cook it has been a nightmare. Terrible customer service, I was a client with miss fresh then my second box with cook it got one week late with all the food spoiled and they never responded or apologize for that. After a week I finally got my subscription cancelled.

I should have read these reviews before ordering, I hope I can save someone here the headaches I'm going through.  1 First order; I ordered pancake batter from the pantry.  Showed up expired by almost 6 months.  see pic.  This was an early warning sign that cook it and freshness should never be used in the same sentence.  I was promised a credit for what I paid and not a penny more in good faith for ruining a family pancake breakfast.  Credit never showed up!  2 One recipe called for lime zest as one of the principal ingredients.  See picture, how can someone zest a rotten lime is beyond me.  3 They bill credit cards 5 days before shipping anything.  All companies process your payment when the item ships.  Why is this a problem?  Because my box that was to be delivered yesterday never showed up, yet according to their website the box was delivered. Delivered date: 2020-11-10.  Now that's why credit cards are billed not pending but actually billed the week before a delivery.  A call a few minutes ago told me that a box would show up today.  Where has this box with fish and chicken that will show up with a melted ice pack been sitting since yesterday?  How long ago was it packed?  Moral of the story, this is a service that promises to save you valuable time cooking and planning meals.  I can tell you first hand the time you save cooking their rotten ingredients is the time you'll be spending on the phone with them and writing emails instead trying to fix their mistakes.  This is the 3rd meal delivery company I've used.  I left the last 2 services and tried Cook It since they were the only one offering meals for 3 people.  They are by far the worse choice out there.

Ingredients were mad poubelle. Literally poubelle. Freshness does not seem like a key factor with Chef Cook It. When I brought this to the attention of their customer service, they just told me to unsubscribe. This is a huge embarrassment for them. If anyone is interested in purchasing from Chef Cook It, I would think twice and steer away from them. Other subscription boxes companies such as Good Food are so much better.
