Tourists be warn, DO NOT PAY THEM ANY MONEY, and do not under any circumstances give them your passport. The Montreal Consulate will rob you and not provide you with any service. They will try to blame the ministry of interior for delays, which is a blatant lie, I was able to get what I needed via a Tunisian consulate in a different country.
Unprofessional, uncivilised and dead slow. They don’t even respond to phone calls/emails. The only way you can contact them is by traveling in person to Montreal. Imagine flying/driving to Montreal just to know the status of your application. I am pretty sure all the 5 star reviews are from the employees themselves. They don’t even deserve a single star.
I don’t under the negative reviews? I’ve had 5 star service. They’re doing the best they can! Sana in particular was fantastic and very professional.
Before visiting the ambassy I was kinda hesitant from what I heard But honestly the service was great and they finished doing my passport In 24 hours after telling them that I came all the way from alberta.
If you don’t need to travel to Tunisia then don’t even bother. The website indicates 20 business days to process tourist visa but it took them 2 months and my visa was still rejected because they didn’t want to do their part in confirming the validity of my passport.
Worst experience ever they don’t even deserve a star. I applied for a visitor visa 3 months ago to attend my brother’s wedding and after a month I got a call from them requesting a copy of my PR even though I am definitely sure I sent all of the required documents, I did send them a copy via email as they requested ,that was a month ago and the wedding is in 5 days and of course I still haven’t got the visa !!! They don’t answer their phone or emails , lazy unprofessional employees!
Worse experience I had ,I would probably give zero star or minus star if exist ,one star is too much .They never pick up the phone or doing their jobs as expected also I haven’t seen any place representing a country in anywhere in the world closes at 2:30 pm, they must be replaced with another crew or better closed for good .

I drove from Hamilton to the Consulat in Montreal to apply to a visa in person, I dealt with a woman called Aicha, she confirmed all papers are okay, they took my passport 2 months ago and I haven't heard back, I try to call but they never pick up.. At this point i don't want to go to Tunis anymore, i don't even want my money back, just send me back my passport!! Dont make me drive all the way over there again to argue with with staff to get it back !!!!!!
Shockingly poor service and a poor representation of Tunisia. My husband applied for a passport via mail more than one month ago... as with the other reviewers, he has called and emailed multiple times 3 times per day with no response. He is now at risk of loosing a job opportunity because he has no passport to travel to it... we are considering paying 800 dollars for him to fly to Montréal to complete the process in person...but not sure it will help.
