A fantastic arboretum filled with several flora collections, walking paths and a large lake. A great place to see Connecticut's indigenous foliage, as well as exotic species. Also this arboretum and the Mamacoke island preserve act as bird sanctuaries for the area and attracts a fair diversity of avian species. It also happens to be a regular gathering place for the college's many functions, concerts, and proms. The hiking trails are well maintained and not very difficult. Enjoy a comfortable walk, in wetlands, deciduous forests, wildflower gardens, and conifer gardens
