Congress Park

Love taking my dog for a walk here. It's beautiful any time of year, especially all the architecture. Many views and benches to take a seat. Fresh spring water to drink and cameras hidden up on the bird houses make you feel secure. It's also a great place to go on a run with a variety of loops and trails!

We stopped to check out the park while traveling through town in a Friday in early September. We were walking around town and wanted to check out the springs and water features. The park is well maintained and clean. I did taste some of the spring water - not sure which one this is exactly but I googled to make sure it wasn’t tap water. The water tastes like iron for sure. If you have ever had a bloody nose, imagine that as a taste and there you have it. There are other springs we didn’t get to check out but I imagine they are similar. It was fun! Check it out if you are in the area.

Beautiful city park in the heart of historic downtown. Grounds and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Thanks to the city for providing trash receptacles throughout the property. Leashed dogs are welcome. Numerous short walking trails and paths about the property.

We sampled three springs, and as we had heard, they all tasted so different. What a great experience! For sure a place to visit while in town!!

Loved this park with my wife and there are lots of ducks around and the grounds and streams are well kept. The circular fountain was very cool with live trout species presented and displayed like Koi.
