Wait staff is lively and energetic... But it is very hard to find them. It seems like there are just two people serving everyone. They may need more staff. Sangria is alright. We wanted more, too bad it was so hard to find someone to order from.
Went for their New Year's Eve party and had so much fun with good music! The bartender's were super sweet and did an amazing job! And the Drag Queens were so pretty! It was a great night up until the end, when I went to the washroom and some drunk dude came up to touch my back... That was the only ick.
Best club in Montreal for dancing. If your goal is to just dance and have a fun night, this is the place to go. They have three floors with different music and vibe. The staff is pretty cool too. Highly recommended.
Horrible service. They bag and body check before entering and then proceed to tell me i must leave my bag at coat check. Why did they bag check if i can't even keep my bag with me? I require medical supplies with me 24/7, including high risk medication that should not be unattended. The staff refused to even listen to my attempt to explain my medical needs and pointed to a sign in french. When attempting to tell them i do not speak french, they were very rude, shrugging their shoulders, rolling their eyes, being aggressive. They told me that's the rules, did not remotely try to accommodate nor even listen to me. Not a welcoming place for ALL.
I used to love going to this club. It used to be my go to club for my clubbing days but it’s not the same anymore since Covid. I recently went to local bar and they played way better music than Sky. It’s also very discouraging going to this club with my girlfriend just for men to diss respect and sexualize us. I’m very disappointed. I don’t think I will be going back for a while.
My first and last time at this place. The staff were very rude especially the ones outside and inside by the entrance of the club. It was a very stressful and uncomfortable experience to get in: we got yelled at to get “in line” even though we were already in it and patiently waiting, then once inside, we got orders shouted at us again saying that we needed to get patted down, to keep moving in the stairs, to get our things checked + pay cover cash only. Once upstairs, the music was WAY too loud, the service slow short staff behind bars, and the place unsanitary. Not a queer friendly and safe place at all, even during Pride.
literally the worst experience ever. my boyfriend and i payed for our tickets to buy the entrance and also the wardrobe service, and the girl at the wardrobe did not give us a ticket, so then at the end of night we were the FIRST PPL asking for our backpack and clothes and she refused to have us our stuff. my boyfriend and i tried to explain her that it was her fault because she did not give us a ticket and she started saying that it was our fault but the most aggressive way as possible, and then all the securities came to pick my boyfriend up just because we were speaking to each other in spanish!!!! and they put him out and i had to wait until the last person to prove the last backpack there was ours. this is unacceptably that we PAID for a service which was not funcional and did not serve us, plus disrespected us because our ethnicity. i hope this never happens to anyone
I don't advise anyone to go there. From the service to the location is not very pleasant. Another thing, if you take US dollars and want to exchange them, they compute it as if it were 1=1. We didn't like the Club, they said it would have several new people but not really.
This place is a shell of its former self from 5-6 years ago. I went with some friends for the first time since before COVID and boy have things changed for the worst. TLDR version: Sky has become a rip off, has lost its gay status, and has made every wrong business decision you can think of. - Incredibly rude bouncer: While we were in line to wait get inside I asked politely if there was a smoking area on the terrace, like Unity has, and the bouncer told me very rudely that if they catch me smoking upstairs that they would throw me out. He also added a «tokebakicite» knowing that I was French and assuming I didn’t know the laws here, even though I’ve been living here for 8 years. - 4$ cover, when there never used to be one, and mandatory coat check for even light jackets, which never used to be the case. I get that with COVID there’s been lost revenue, but it feels like a very cheap way to extract every penny off of you when simply raising the drink prices would have been enough. - Outdated music being played, think like top 40 hits from 6-7 years ago, that feels more fitting of a lame straight club for douchey people. - Obvious straight men luring after women which ruins the idea of a gay club being a safe space not even sure you can count Sky as a gay club anymore due to how many straight people go there now. - If you want to smoke outside you have to get in line again, even if you are wearing the bracelet they hand you upon paying the cover fee what’s the point of a bracelet if you need to wait in line anyway? I thought visiting it again after quite some time would have been a pleasant outing for old times sake, now it’s clear I will never set foot there again as long as management keeps repeating the same mistakes. Don’t go there for the time being, let them pay for their mistakes
Place used to be nice but service seem to have deteriorated after COVID. Cloakroom guys search your bags for other bags and if you have another sweater inside you have to pay separately for each. I have never experienced this. Also a girl with a mini jacket was obliged to put it off? Seems there new business strategy is to get as much money from you at the cloak room. This feels very cheap. If they needed more money just ask for a cover at the entrance.
