It's a newer pool and it shows. Everything feels up to date. The facilities are also very clean which is also a huge plus. The only reason I give it three stars is because overcrowding is consistently a problem here. Moreover, when it does get like that a lot of swimmers aren't aware of proper pool etiquette ex. letting a faster swimmer pass you, which is very frustrating.
I have been there 4 or 5 times with my daughter. Convenient location, but very crowded during free swim and the water and change rooms are really dirty. The universal change rooms are deeply problematic, to the point where I would rather pay $16 to go to the Olympic Pool where women and kids have a safe space and the water is clean. Twice I have had an older man staring at my young daughter in her bathing suit, then choosing a locker next to ours when there plenty of others free. Another time I turned the corner to find myself face to face with a man who was obviously high, and who then stared at us in the public showers. The fact that the universal change room is openly advertised on the internet makes it a magnet for these types of people - whose idea was that? How is this a good idea for women and children?
First time going. Didn’t know it would be unisex change rooms.. made me uncomfortable. Very nice and big pool, but not a fan of the change room. Few showers, no soap. You can’t swim without a swim cap I’m bald..
Water is cold. My nephews don’t like going. Lips turn blue. So now we go to Édouard Mont Petit pool in Pierre de Coubertin street near Cadillac metro. Water is warm. Other than that, it’s a good pool, music etc.
Today I was assaulted twice in this pool. Infront of the lifeguards, and they did nothing. I've sent word by email, to whomever, that this occurred. It's not acceptable, the swimmers can attack other swimmers, over a misunderstanding. When I get word of what will happen to these people and the people in charge of the pool. I will return to complete this review.nI suffered a minor injury to my shoulder, from both altercations. I do not believe it is racism. I do have several mobility issues, and that's why I go to the pool. However, they are not obvious because I take very strong medication and I can hide my limitations for a short period of time, before they start to hinder me.nI am very disappointed, but I will not let bullies stop me from enjoying the only sport and period of my day, when I am not in pain.
