Excellent place to go in winter/summer, very clean, not expensive. Highly recommend for family with kids :-D
Great place for families!
Do not register your children for swimming day camps. Unprofessional staff and unsafe camp management. The instructors had to monitor their groups in addition to the pool.... no one was assigned to monitor the pool only. No camp manager was present even though it is obligatory in the city's contract. And therefore no adults. I had to file a complaint with the city to get things changed. After several communications, I was told that it is a camp run by Sodem inc. And that the manager will make changes following my complaint to improve their services.nThen she lies to me to tell me another version. There was a liveguard..... an adult..... and if there were no swimming lessons it was because the children didn't want to do them.... Really!nThere was no adult or liveguard when I arrived to ask for explanations when my 7 year old son told me; I almost drowned and I coughed for a long time, no one got me out from under the water mattress and I succeeded after struggling. Then my instructor took my pulse and I returned to the water after a long time where I coughed.... we didn't tell my parents. I'm too scared to go tomorrow...nnAll this week of camps no qualified people were present.nnSummer 2024 camps.....
Beautiful swimming pool, pleasant staff with access to the sauna in the changing rooms
Beautiful aquatic complex.nnOn the other hand, private lessons are a failure. Instructors are generally not fully engaged in their roles and responsibilities. Classes often start late, not to mention the repetitive absences of certain instructors. There is a waste of time and classes are greatly reduced. It’s too expensive for the quality of services given to us. In the summer, instructors are sent as a priority to the outdoor swimming pool and private lessons sometimes find themselves out of service due to lack of staff.nnI do not recommend this establishment for giving swimming lessons to children with special needs. There is no quality or stability. At the management level it is a total failure. The manager told me that people “like” my son were not part of their target audience and that he would no longer be able to attend classes anyway.nnI filed a complaint with the city of Varennes for the execrable behavior and discrimination shown by the manager of the complex towards my son and for the poor management of the services offered.nnThe manager assured me that my reimbursement check would be issued at the beginning of the week following my reimbursement request, which was July 2. She told me that I would have the check in the next 3 to 4 weeks. Since I reported the situation to the city and filed a complaint, they withheld the check that I was supposed to receive and will only send it at the beginning of September.
