No entrance fee or tickets - solely donations. Very knowledgeable and friendly volunteers. Well planned, cohesive layout and interesting, even if you are not an enthusiast. Lovely souvenirs fairly priced. We spent ± 1 hour inside and ± 45 minutes outside.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo wait
The Air Force museum is a really good place to see so many aircraft parts and the history of many things, and the best part, it’s free! In the museum there are many aircraft parts and engines, with also an old atc tower control which you can touch and see everything in it too. The visit was amazing so overall it’s a 10/10.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Excellent museum! Wonderful displays and lots of intimate information regarding Canada's contribution to the skies! Highly recommended
This is a must visit if you come to Comox! Staff were super friendly and the place gave you the appreciation to our Canadian armed force. Admission by donation and have great selection of little gifts and t shirts too. Great for all ages

Super cool displays and tons of history. Indoor space was nice with friendly staff and lots of info about planes, missions, engines, weapons, and the people that made it all run. Local stories are a nice touch and the field of planes was great too, they're pretty darn big up close!
If you're near, definitely a great place to visit wonderful displays full of info on the great efforts and history of Canadians in the sky. I personally love the inclusion on the great escape due to my great grandfather being held in the camp during the war. Make sure to leave a good donation after definitely worth it.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo wait
A must see. Staff is very friendly. Entrance is by donation. They have such interesting pieces of history. You can also check out the planes and jets just down the roads. Kids will love it!
Enjoyed this gem of a museum. There are fascinating models, real example pieces from different eras, and great information about the birth and development of military aviation in Canada. Wish I could have spent several hours there! Payment by donation, and a nice little gift shop where I picked up a mug and purchased another as a gift for a friend. Informative, well laid out, and a good spot to visit in Comox. We stopped to get photos in the ejection seat from a CF-101 Voodoo. I had never heard of the Japanese balloons bombs before, and though I knew about Billy Bishop who shot down the Red Baron I was unfamiliar with our other ace pilots...who you can learn about at this great museum!
What an incredibly educational place. So well laid out and comprehensive starting from WWI on. I was instantly in tears reading about the daring and courageous First World War Canadian pilots, like Billy Bishop, in their relatively recently-invented airplanes. There are several model planes hung overhead. Also uniforms, weapons, medals, maps and history. Plus the hosts are knowledgeable and welcoming. A friendly must see.
