I've been a longtime customer of Merchants Bank which was bought out by Community Bank. Since the takeover, my 7-year-old has received a credit card offer (in a hand-written envelope from the College Street branch), the bank now charges $2 for paper statements, and the online payment system is not intuitive (i.e. all our old online payees are difficult to remove after being resurrected by the takeover).

Initial impressions do not meet expectations. Will continue there since I'm embedded, but will approach business skeptically.

This bank has mishandled mine, and another person of my names $$$ on multiple occasions. After the 5th time rightly giving back said persons money,  I spoke with a very flustered branch manager, to no effect.  Avoid this location.
