Lovely place. The staff was super friendly and attentive, food was very good and the vibe was overall warm. I had a subpar experience with the one in Sherbrooke but glad that I visited this one which restored my faith in the brand. I highly recommend them!Recommended dishesPotage Du Jour, Salt Caramel Cheesecake, Gâteau Aux Carottes
Lovely atmosphere, very laid back. Staff were friendly and attentive. Had the lobster bisque and duck confit which were absolutely delicious.
Staff was friendly, when they weren't busy with the restaurant, and the room was at a good price. That's where the good review stops. The room was rundown, the bath looked like it just came back from hell check picture. There was only 1 trash bin, and it had a contact lens stuck to the wall 6 inches above it. The hotel is on a busy road with cars and trucks at all hours. Our room connected with the one beside us and we could hear EVERYTHING that was said in the other room so they could hear us too. Will not be going back there. There seems to be no quality control in that hotel.
Exquisite meals! Nice warm atmosphere and great service.Food: 5/5
The food was ok, nothing special and fancy. Kids didn’t like their pasta , it tasted weird. The service was great. Don’t forget to bring your own wine or beer , they only have alcohol free beer .
The service was exceptional. The menu was extensive and the dishes well presented and our meals were wonderful. Definitely a solid recommendation when you're in the Twonships.
Excellent quality, selection and service. It was an exceptionally find 'find for a random pick along the road while traveling. Definitely NOT another 'road house.' BTW, BYOB.
DO NOT STAY HERE. THE WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED IN. The hotel did not provide any information as to what time check-in normally takes place. I had written 2pm as my arrival time on my reservation, but did not receive any further instructions. We arrived a bit early, around 1pm, to find the building completely deserted. No one answered the phone and our phone messages were never returned. I eventually got the attention of the lone cook on duty in the kitchen, by knocking on the window, and she said quite rudely that no one was there to help us and we must come back at 2pm. This wasn't even enough time to go get lunch somewhere as we didn't want to be late returning. When we came back, the building was still deserted. By about 2:15, the cook took pity on us and gave us our key even though she did not know how to check us in. Later that evening, when the restaurant was open, the waitress simply said her colleague who was supposed to check us in was "late". I'll say!!! We never saw any "front desk" staff the whole time we stayed there, which was a shame, as we could have used some local expertise in planning our time in the area. The room itself was not very well laid out e.g. nowhere to put the hand towel in the washroom!!. The door of our room was too big for the frame and had to be yanked or slammed to get it to open or shut. The icing on the cake was this morning, as we were hurriedly getting ready to leave, the water to our room completely shut off. Once again, no front desk staff were available to help, but I found a maid who told us the water filtration system shuts off for 15 minutes every day!!!! WHY WOULD YOU TURN OFF THE WATER TO ALL YOUR GUEST ROOMS AT 9 AM EVERY DAY WITH NO WARNING???!!!!!!! My husband was unable to shower due to this, and we quickly packed up and left because we were so angry with everything. It's ironic that this place is called "comme chez soi," because I have never stayed anywhere that felt less like home than this miserable excuse for a hotel.
We had a great experience having a lunch in this place. We could not find any place opened nearby at that time. We came here very hungry almost an hour before they opened a restaurant. The chief and the server were so nice to serve us before the opening. The food was ready really fast and it was delicious. I could not be more thankful to both of them for not letting us starve to death
The location is easy to find, if a little away from everything else which may be a good thing, depending on what you're looking for!. Rooms were nice and clean,if a little dated. Beds were comfortable and I slept well. The attached restaurant which is a bring your own wine place. They have no alcohol to serve! was very nice and I had a delicious dinner. Only downsides here are that the WiFi didn't work for us and the restaurant doesn't serve breakfast, which is fair. All in all a good stop on our trip.
