I had to wait 6 months for a phone call consultation, which obviously involved no testing so produced no results. The guy spent more time talking about his retirement plans than asking about my health. They sent me to get blood work then never called me back after results were submitted. 3 months later i decided to follow up and his voice message says office closed for retirement and will not reopen, best of luck! Enjoy your retirement with the money you collected despite providing zero help!

Waited three years for an appointment he skipped. When I was finally able to get ahold of someone, was told it was up to my GP to contact me about the cancelled appointment. So glad I had to take the whole day off to be available when they couldn't even bother to make an effort to provide notice. Worst. Office. Staff. Ever.

Had a phone appointment then was asked about vaccinations status and was then told for 5 mins I was misinformed. I stated facts from the Pfizer report and was told this information was not true. Then was told I will not get an in person test for allergies UNTIL I change my mind. We saw him with my daughter as well and he and his nurse failed to listen to me about drawing a grid on my daughters back and labelling her. So in the end they couldn’t remember what they put where. So they just said to treat her like she was allergic to everything. Positive that is why we went to them to find out what are her allergies Never go here.

I had been struggling with debilitating symptoms for several years and was blown off by several other specialists when I was referred to Dr. Commerford. I have never met with a more thorough and caring physician. He took an extremely detailed history and notes. He provided me with copies of said notes at the end of each visit, ordered tests and coordinated with other specialists to finally give a diagnosis. Very sad to know he's near retirement as there are so few doctors like him, who will put in the time, effort, and not give up on patients with issues that are rare and difficult to diagnosis.

My daughter went in today to test for food allergies as a few months back she kept vomitting for no reason. Naturally i was asked about eating habits and pets. Once i mentioned we had dogs he asked what kind. As soon as i said one was an american bulldog mix completely legal in ontario! his attitude towards me changed. He asked how big my bully was and i said he was small for his breed, then he proceeds to suggest his not friendly, when i said my dog was friendly, he then told me my dog bites people, again i said that wasnt true and that he loves the kids. He gives me this look like in lying and says testing for food allergies is a waste of time and hes only doing test for environmental allergies. Thankfully the lady that performed the test was much nicer and saw on the chart that we had dogs and told me “good news shes not allergic to the dogs! Just cats”. I was relieved, then we saw the doctor again and he suggested i get rid of my dogs. So i asked if she was allergic knowing she wasnt and he just tosses the results at me and says its a good idea to get rid of them. Im sure if it wasnt for the nurse i would of left there thinking i had to rehome my dogs because of this doctors prejudice. My dogs are Loyal and far from agressive, i thought this doctor was competely unprofessional. His opinion about my dogs breed has nothing to do with my daughters potential food allergies! I did not deserve to get discriminated on the breed of my dog. And if my daughter does have food allergies we still dont know! He tried to make it seem like it couldnt be food because the episode were a while back but he was clearly wanting to prove she was allergic to the dogs that weve had for 3 years! So even less likely to be allergic to them then food.

if you are a pet lover do not go here or take your children here if you have pets. he has told a patient to leave their dog outside and let the vultures get it. if you have pets he will tell you to get rid of them without testing

Dr. Comeford was very professional, knowledgeable, courteous and interested in solving my problem. I know for sure what allergies I have now and he suggested a treatment, which I will proceed and try it. I have nothing bad to say about him. He is a great allergist.
