Very cool comedy spot in the east end! Went on a Sunday at 7pm and had a blast. Great seating, fantastic vibe, easy drink ordering via QR code. Next time we may grab some grub so my team can dinebon bar munchies like wings!nWish there was a spot like this in the West end of the city South Etobicoke as we would frequent more often...read the Gardner sucks!!!
I attended a comedy show here and had a fantastic time. The staff operated seamlessly, displaying expertise in their roles. During the show, we could easily order food and drinks. Despite ample seating, the venue felt cozy and intimate. Afterward, the performers mingled with the audience at the bar. Plus, it's conveniently close to the TTC and subway.
Went here for the first time and was super happy with the cute, comfy and intimate set up! The bar and restaurant out front is a prime addition for after show or pre show fun and the staff were absolutely amazing! Super friendly - all smiles and very helpful. The modern and simple design was comfy - and there is no bad seat in the house. Will keep my eyes peeled for another show. Also huge kudos to the host Becky - she was a laugh times 2!
UPDATE: *Original review below*nI was contacted by the owner of Comedy Bar regarding my initial review. He was very concerned and apologetic regarding our experience. We came to a mutual agreement for Comedy Bar to make it up to us.nNeither my wife or myself ordered what we had last time for obvious reasons see initial review below. We both ordered pizza after speaking with the manager for suggestions. The pizza was amazing! I had the square deep dish Canadian and my wife had one of the round pizzas I don't recall which one. The service was excellent, the food was fantastic, the show was great as to be expected from our last experience. One of the comedians performed at the previous show we went to and already had new material which was awesome! Overall, this time was a 5 star outing. I'm changing the rating from 3 to 4 stars considering what happened last time we were there and the fact that, well, we can't just erase that from memory. Overall, Comedy Bar is definitely worth checking out. Both theaters are well laid out and spacious. It's just a great experience overall!nn*INITIAL REVIEW*nWe went to the Danforth location for the Canada Day special show. With that being said, this is a difficult review to make since the actual comedy show was great. The comedians were on point and had great material.nnHowever, the food we had was not good. My wife ended up with food poisoning 6 hours after having the Buttermilk Chicken. I had the Classic burger and was very mushy.nnMy suggestion would be to grab food at any of the establishments nearby and just go for the show itself just to be on the safe side.nnIt would 5 stars for the comedy, but 0 stars for the food. Seeing as people go to a comedy club for the comedy, it's not entirely fair to leave a 0 or 1 star review. So, looking at the entire experience from the food and the show. 3 stars it is. Let me make one statement. It is ABSOLUTELY worth going for the show. Just get the food at your own risk.
Hubby and I had a date night to see Ian Lara who was hilarious. We opted to eat dinner first. This was the best burger I have had in a while. Great atmosphere and drinks. Friendly staff. Parking was plentiful and easy to find. I would return.
