Stopped by for a bite to eat on my way to Saint John. I've always heard good things about the food. I got the 3 piece fish and chips. Excellent! 3 large pieces of fish and a good size serving of fries. It was cooked perfectly and was delicious. The service was great and price was average for the area. Would definitely stop by again.
Was craving this for ever. And was sadly disappointed. Things have gone down hill. Frozen bag fries, soggy fish, batter didn't stick to scallops. Gravy came in a sauce cup, not near enough for anything. And 1 small cuppy of ketchup. For god sake I'm paying 30 bucks a plate put some dam bottles of ketchup on the tables, and cut you're own fries. Terrible.
The food is fine, nothing extra. Service was friendly. All deep fried, not a salad to be found. It was convenient at the time but I wouldn't go out of my way to go back.Food: 3/5
Yesterday we enjoyed a delicious meal at Comeau's in Pennfield. The clams were amazing and the fish bites were so fresh and flaky.
Best fish and chips in NB. I used to go here all of the time with my grandparents since I was a little girl. They still live in Pennfield and I try and go every time I am in NB to visit. Absolutely love it here!Food: 5/5
Not sure if there is new owers or what, but something has changed here. We waited 45 minutes for a takeout order and when it finally arrived it was 1/2 the size of any meals we have previously had. The fish portion was small, the batter was heavy and it was over cooked. Previously you would get a generous portion of scallops, now you get 3. They have even changed their fries and these were gross. Was so disappointed and won't go back. Too bad - it's used to be so good!
In my opinion it took waaaaay toooo long to eat. Half hour wait for a table, hmmm, that's ok, it was a busy time. BUT once we were seated it took about 45 mins for our food!! It's just fish guys! It's not as though it takes long to cook! Food was good, at least,but nothing spectacular!
One of the most popular restaurants around. Still draws great traffic in spite of the main highway now bypassing their location at Pennfield. Take the 2 minutes to check it out. You'll be glad you did and it will be a destination for future trips. Guaranteed Interesting place to explore too. Early Quakers settled here and there was a major airbase here in WWII. The Bay of Fundy is just a short drive away. Lots of other services there as well. gas, general store, scuba fills, and more.
Very large portions of great food for reasonable prices. If this restaurant were closer, I would go often.
