Their women's basketball coach should be more Christ-like in her response to others unlike her. She can learn to set a better example for her players. I hope she does.
food was decent, make sure there's AC in the Dorms next year and please please please put sinks in the lounge in the dorm halls. Thank You.
Where this school really shines is the intentionality of the instructors. They truly go above and beyond for the students and invest a lot into them. Also instructors are generally well informed and good teachers The school has a strong community but students should be careful. It to let this replace and church community. Would highly recommend this school for anyone coming out of high school or who who is under 22. However, I would not recommend this school for someone who is a mature student or already involved in church ministry. While the programs this school has is great for young adults, there is not much flexibility or understanding for those beyond that. As someone who has worked at a church as I attended CBC I have found school policies to make working in ministry more difficult. All around CBC is great for many but not all situations.
I received my diploma in youth ministry in 2016 & I’m very thankful to have received my education here at CBC. I received an invaluable education here and learned new things that I have been able to apply for life. Columbia prides itself on “Explore your calling” and although I still don’t know what my calling is, I know that God is part of my life and the future endeavours. What I enjoyed most was Old Testament Survey with Ken Esau. There is so much in that course that I am still unpacking today. It’s been one of the most foundational courses I took; I’m applying this knowledge today in my faith journey. Columbia is an excellent place and I’m glad I spent two years here learning and growing in my faith.
Great staff & instructors. Great library with Mennonite Collection. Love the wraps at Cafe. And there is the must see Metzger Collection on the CBC campus. When I ask people if they like the program there in, they say an enthusiastic Yes!
