Story

Among the state’s public colleges and universities, College of DuPage, with more than 28,000 students, is the second largest provider of undergraduate education in the state of Illinois, after University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Currently, College of DuPage offers 71 Associate in Applied Science degrees in 41 different career and technical education subject areas; 160 certificates in 46 different career and technical education subject areas; out of nine degrees awarded, seven are considered transfer degrees with the two most common being the Associate in Arts and the Associate in Science degrees. College of DuPage has also partnered with prominent universities to offer high-caliber bachelor’s degrees programs at a greatly reduced cost. Classes are offered on the College’s 273-acre Glen Ellyn campus, at five regional centers, and at area high schools and other community locations. In addition, College of DuPage is nearing completion of a 12-year, $600 million building plan that has included the construction and renovation of more than one million square feet of educational space.
