Among the state’s public colleges and universities, College of DuPage, with more than 28,000 students, is the second largest provider of undergraduate education in the state of Illinois, after University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Currently, College of DuPage offers 71 Associate in Applied Science degrees in 41 different career and technical education subject areas; 160 certificates in 46 different career and technical education subject areas; out of nine degrees awarded, seven are considered transfer degrees with the two most common being the Associate in Arts and the Associate in Science degrees. College of DuPage has also partnered with prominent universities to offer high-caliber bachelor’s degrees programs at a greatly reduced cost. Classes are offered on the College’s 273-acre Glen Ellyn campus, at five regional centers, and at area high schools and other community locations. In addition, College of DuPage is nearing completion of a 12-year, $600 million building plan that has included the construction and renovation of more than one million square feet of educational space.

I've been going to College of DuPage since the summer of 2014 -  and as much as I complain about my school life overall I love the layout of the school. It's pretty simple to navigate through with signs throughout the buildings letting you know where you have to go for certain rooms or buildings.

It is unique of how some of the buildings connect to one another. From the Berg Instructional Center (BIC) to the MAC (Macintosh Arts Center). Also from the BIC to the Health and Science building with the walkway above the road. 

However the only flaw with College of DuPage is the parking. Early morning (8 AM Classes) or late at night (8 PM/ 9 PM) classes have no issues, however the rest of the day it is like a war zone out in the parking lots. It does not even seem to matter if your signal was on somebody has no issue taking the spot - even if they see you. 

The cost per class isn't too shabby either compared to the big name universities. Which is funny since essentially you are getting the same education just for a lower price.

Although parking can be a real pain depending on the time of day you are going to College of DuPage - overall it is not bad.

Have been going here since fall of 2016 seems pretty nice, nobody really pushes agendas on you unlike universities that you see on the internet. All around nice place to go with an excellent automotive department.

#2 Community College in the nation but it is #1 to me. Very affordable and has so much to offer. Some of the best teachers I have ever had teach at College of DuPage.

Individual teachers are great!  The school's grounds are beautiful.  The breadth and depth of the offerings are truly staggering.  Sometimes it's hard to remember that this is 'just' a community college.  That said, sometimes, as with any bureaucracy, sometimes the campus police can get a tad over-enthusiastic about enforcing some rules.  I got 'busted' once because I was hitting my own car with my hands out of frustration and I was called in three weeks later to 'explain' my actions.  For adults, this is a wonderful opportunity.  For local kids, fresh out of local high schools, it's very much just an extension of high school for many.  Too bad.  There are many, many opportunities here.
