We literally just drove away from one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. I’ve wanted to try Colin’s House for ages and today was the first and won’t be the last. The other reviews aren’t wrong, the food here is delicious, portions are huge, and price is more than fair. We started with the beat chips delicious!, we each had a taco trio, my fave was the shrimp, but all were super delicious and fresh, and because we are ridiculous we also ordered the taco rice, again a huge portion and so good! The service also needs to be mentioned our waitress was Skyla, and let me tell you she is packed full of personality, and we really enjoyed the service and chatting with her. Also to note we watched her help out an older gentleman in figuring out the settings on his cell phone which was just lovely. She’s got excellent customer service skills and the restaurant is lucky to have her! We will be back!!!
Went to try the tacos and we were quite impressed! It's a very cute, small restaurant with welcoming service. I tried the shrimp, fish, and pulled pork tacos. I can't even decide which one was best, they were all so good. The yam chips with garlic dip was very garlicky and so delicious.
Good grief! Good eats! Err...no! GREAT eats! This place does it all so well! First visit to Colins’ House - for 2 people we ordered the following and shared - 1 order of beet chips and 1 order of yam chips, 1 fresh crisp mandarin almond salad plenty of left over chips brought home to enjoy later followed with each of us having a slice of lime pie with mango sauce - by far thee most delicious lime pie that I have ever tasted!!! The chip servings are large and the dips are divine! Nick the server was super efficient, a friendly face to greet you and quickly make you feel welcome! A definite thumbs up from this gal! Come on out and support this restaurant and all their delicious made in-house vittles! Definitely worth the short drive from Winnipeg! I will definitely soon be returning to try something new - meanwhile I’m serving you notice - You’ve got to got to go!!!
We have dined a few times on their patio and had good times! Delicious food, very attentive and friendly service. I have never been to any restaurant where you can order assorted tacos. Enjoyed the classic Caesar cocktail…not too spicy just the right amount of zing. It was made right at the patio bar in front of us. I’ll be back!
Great restaurant! The food was amazing and I would definitely eat her again. I had the tacos fish, shrimp, and pork and they were so good. The beet chips were perfectly cooked and super crispy. My partner had the butter chicken and it was also amazing. You need to eat here! It has a small dining room and a great atmosphere. Staff seemed very nice. The menu is nice and small which means you know they cook things fresh!
So good, you won't know it's gluten free! Have had fish and chips on both coasts of Canada, no need to travel that far with Colins' House only a 45 minute drive from home. Excellent tacos as well. Tried the pulled pork and jerk chicken. Both very tasty made with freshly made in house corn tortillas.
It was lovely. I personally wasn't a huge fan of the chicken taco, but that was personal taste; but i loved the pulled pork taco. was terrific. my sibling got the buttered chicken and they loved it, and my partner got the chicken fingers and he loved those. i would totally go again, except i don't live in townRecommended dishesButter Chicken, Chicken Fingers
Stoped in today for a late lunch on the patio. The Laksa and Falafel salad were great...as usual. The shrimp tacos were great and so was the Red Curry Laksa dish. Owners were very friendly. Enjoyable. Beet chips, bean tacos and lime pie are also very good.
GO HERE NOW. It is worth the drive if you aren't from Beausejour. Just had the tacos and chips to start and they were F$#king delicious. Chicken and shrimp tacos were my fav. Great job to the Colin's.
Food was awesome, so was service. Fish tacos and beet chips were delicious as well as the great fries. Would give more than 5 stars if I could.
