The museum is a great place for a railroad enthusiast. There are many real life displays to go in and view. Make sure you call ahead to make sure it will be open. You also need to capable of climbing around physically, if you want to go inside these displays. There is also a small shop inside the main building.
Guided tour details the history of railroading and daily life on and around the railroads through a massive collection of artifacts and full-sized railroad cars. The tour guides here are entertaining and really know their stuff. Overall a great experience that is well worth the admission price!
Very worthwhile and a great value. Admission includes a personal tour with lots of good information and the opportunity to ask questions. Best part is seeing a portion of their substantial dining car china collection and learning more about it.
