Story

École Ste-Marguerite Bourgeoys is the only single-track French Immersion school in Northwestern Ontario. This school is a Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6 school located at the heart of the Catholic campus. The French Immersion program started in September 1986 and has grown and expanded over the years. This is the largest French Immersion Elementary school in Northwestern Ontario and is part of the Catholic campus.

In 2014 the school completed significant capital expansion of 6 new classrooms and auxiliary spaces adding up to approximately 10, 200 square feet of additional learning space. The capital expansion was completed in September 2014 right on time for the start of the school year. The school added 4 Kindergarten classrooms and 2 instructional services classrooms to accommodate enrollment demands.

École Ste-Marguerite Bourgeoys is a close knit school community that reflects and celebrates the diversity of Canada today. The school's diversity helps students respect the uniqueness that each person brings to the school.
