Very disappointed in the lack of communication. First of all, they had me wait almost 2 years to schedule me for the online theory classes. Second, they schedule me for an exam date that does not exist. Third, they forgot to tell me that their system has changed to a online portal and that is how you know when you have your class or get access to the meeting link. Fourth, they do not tell me that the class I was scheduled for is in-person and emails me back 10 minutes before it starts. Also, don't even think about calling them on the phone...they never answer.
Ive paid hundreds of dollars to this school, but they don’t answer the phone anymore / same for email. I’m considering filing a lawsuit because now I can’t even get my drivers license since nobody answers. Refund will be the minimum I’ll accept from them.
TLDR: Impossible to get a hold of, extreme communication issues, waiting over 3 months for a refund on courses that STILL hasn't appeared jumping through hoops, contacting my bank, emailing them, calling them.... A huuuuuuuge waste of my time. I could have had my license by now. When I was taking driving lessons I was working 9-5, so needed availability on nights or weekends. Sometimes I would go MONTHS without them having any classes available, so I had to take unpaid time off work. One time my instructor forgot to put on his seatbelt. Another time, he was trying to show me a YouTube video while I driving. Needless to say, after all this, I decided to look elsewhere for classes. I had prepaid for a chunk of classes I never used and wanted a refund... three months later, endless time trying to get in touch with them, going back and forth, promises of a refund, and yet nothing to be seen. Getting a hold of anyone is like pulling teeth. I just want this experience to be over, and to get my money back so I can get back to taking classes.
I had a good experience pre-covid with an excellent theory instructor those 2 stars are for him, but I have not had a good experience with any of their in-car practical instructors. My in-car sessions have been an opportunity for the instructors to impose their superiority complex over me. It is not helpful to have condescending remarks while trying to learn a new skill. I learned more from a YouTube video than I did with my instructor.
UPDATED REVIEW : the school has improved their communications quite a bit and I'm very grateful. Raza and Charmaine are amazing instructors as well. ---------------------- My classes with CAA have been good so far and I like my instructor shout out to Raza but the school's general communication is abysmal!!!! I tried to reschedule my theory exam and received a reply it would be rescheduled. I checked my calendar through the CAA portal and it still hadn't been changed a few days later so I replied back saying so and it still wasn't updated through the portal and I hadn't received a reply. The day comes with the original date I was supposed to take the exam so I decided to show up because it was never rescheduled and thankfully passed. I just dropped by the school to pick up my certificate during their business hours and there was a sign on the door saying they were exceptionally closed for the day so I can't go to my appt and get my license with the SAAQ and wasted my afternoon coming to this location. I don't think it would have been hard to notify your current clients that you were closed today exceptionally. I get stuff happens but just notify us! I have a 2 star rating for now because I do really like my instructor and the classes are good but PLEASE improve your communication. This is ridiculous and I pay a lot of money to come to this school. Please fix it. If it improves, I'll change and update my rating. EDITING TO ADD: the person who works the front desk is helpful and very kind. I've only ever seen her working and it seems like the school should hire someone to help assist her as it seems like a ton of work for 1 person. I wanted to add this part because I don't want her to get in trouble. She seems like a good worker and she's very helpful. This seems like a problem with CAA.
The personnel is extremely rude and unprofessional. Hanging up the phone on you, not listening to u talking sounds like if they’re muting u, and are very impolite. Called today to take an appointment for my daughter, and glad it wasn’t her to call, and experience such behaviour from CAA employees. young women answered, at firs speaking in French. Avoid taking courses with them an any cost.
Horrible, told a college student we won’t work around her schedule and go find a new school. Completely unprofessional. Go anywhere else!!!!
