Unprofessional, dishonest. We saw a great property in Western Massachusetts via realtor.com whose terrible system randomly matched us up with an agent from this office instead of the actual agent selling the property. We emailed the agent the next day after seeing the property with a written offer and some questions. The agent agreed to speak the next day to us at 10:30am. At the appointed time, I called only to get the agent's voice mail. Left a vm to call me back. 11:30 called again, was sent to their voicemail. 2pm I texted the agent about our 10:30am appointment. Radio silence from the agent even though we expressed interest in the property. Finally my partner whose number the agent didn't have called at 5pm to ask why they didn't return our calls. The agent answered, I guess not recognizing the number and proceeded to make an excuse as to why he didn't return our numerous calls and speak to us as planned regarding the property. He told my partner that there were already multiple offers on the home which we found out was false at asking and said we should look for other properties. Later that day we learned from the seller that he never even presented our offer to the seller's broker nor did he speak to the seller's broker to let them know we were interested! He had lied to us about there being other offers at asking price! Total lack of common courtesy, dishonest and lazy. Extremely unethical and this office has done nothing regarding our complaint. The agent could have saved us days of anxiety by just talking to us like a professional but instead he ignored our calls, and lied to us. One of the worst experiences with a realtor and real estate office we've had in a while! Never again Coldwell Banker!! We will be reporting him and this Coldwell Banker office to the National Association of Realtors as well as Mass Licensing Division. Definitely a violation of the Fair Housing Act and Realtor licensing board. Reeks of discrimination. Realtors by law are required to present all offers to the seller and this one did not. Beware the suspiciously fake reviews on the Coldwell Banker Amherst site as well as Zillow.
