"Opened in the summer of 2017 by owner Jack Hornung, the goal of the Cask + Cow was to bring something new to Lewiston. He wanted to create a casual place with a unique menu of fresh, flavorful ingredients that would compliment the amazing collection of restaurants along Center St. A Burger seemed like the perfect canvas to have some fun. He spent months sampling different choices of beef, rolls, cheeses, etc. before we found our signature Burger. Then he started to throw random toppings on them, some traditional, some way outside the box until he found the perfect mix. He added some amazing appetizers, salads and sandwiches and our menu was complete."

The service was slow, but everyone was very nice. I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. I am a very picky eater so it is hard for me to like most foods. The burger was one of the best burgers I have ever had. The ONLY PROBLEM was the slowness.
Good food, good service and good location. Crab cakes were a lil under done for my tastes. Tasted okay. The dill Flatbread was very interesting. Unique for sure. Had the chef special burger but, forgot to take a pic. Bri and cranberry burger. Very good Food: 4/5
We were in Lewiston to catch a show at Artpark but we needed to grab some dinner first. We chose Cask and Cow based on reviews and the delicious sounding menu. We were not disappointed. Upon arriving we noticed that there was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, always a plus. We were then greeted by a staff member who seated us promptly and got our orders in. We were pleased to see that they have a nice big menu, lots of cocktails and specials. I started with a Paloma because, why not? It was delicious and not too sweet, a perfect summer drink. For our meals we figured we had to try their burgers because there were so many and the combos all sounded outstanding. First of all the burgers on their own were delicious! Perfectly cooked and seasoned and the right amount of generous toppings. My significant other picked the hot tempered Elvis which he said had such a good combo of cheddar, caramelized banana, bacon, jalapeños and peanut butter! He said the salty and sweet with a little kick of jalapeño was unique and perfect. He added that even the roll was delicious and way above average. I tried La mucca and it was wonderful. The mozzarella, prosciutto, roasted red pepper and arugula were the perfect light Italian inspired toppings for this yummy burger. It was nice that they can accommodate vegetarians and gluten free diets with menu substitutions. They also had sweet potato fries so it was an all around win. Great service and decent prices rounded out a great dinner. When we come back to Lewiston we will absolutely go back.
My husband & I has a great experience. We both had Friday fish fry, beer battered & baked Cajun. Although they did not have a baked potato, the meals were excellent. We even enjoyed the french fries. We will definitely return.
The Cask and Cow has been the meeting place for the Lewiston-Niagara On The Lake Rotary Club for some two years now. Occasionally, the Club celebrates “special events” and requests meals not on the menu. This Valentine day was just such an event. Chef Ben prepared an outstanding meal for the members highlighted by his “special bread pudding!” Additionally, Grace, our super server, was most attentive to all our needs and presented Chef Ben’s culinary creations efficiently and with a warm smile! Overall experience was excellent!
Very good experience. Great menu options and holiday drink specials. The meals were very good. Would definitely go again.Food: 5/5
Food was fine. Won’t be going back or suggesting this restaurant to anyone. Service was terrible. We waited 2hrs for our food. Never got a refill on our drinks until we asked as she gave us our check. Waitress came over around the hour and a half mark and said that one of the cooks walked out and that it was going to be awhile before we got our food. We were understanding and asked for a timeframe to try and gauge if we should bail and go some where else. Manager never stopped over to explain or offer us any apologies. Waitress gave us 10% off our bill. Abysmal effort to try and make things right.
Waited over an hour for a medium rare ribeye that was not seasoned, over cooked, stone cold broccoli, and the server never checked on us. Wife had to wait 15 minutes for a drink refill and was brought the wrong drink. Not worth the wait. I had to call the restaurant for a bill after asking 30 minutes prior. Sweet potato mash was hot and good though.
Unless you haven't eaten all day, hold off on the appetizers. The food is amazing and you will be getting plenty of it. The house made chips that came with the burger were perfectly seasoned and fried. Huge selection of adult beverages and a incredibly proficient/friendly staff.
After visiting the rapids, we stopped for a late lunch. That was one of the best burgers I've ever had. The roll was crispy and the meat was cooked perfectly.
