Story
Shabi is the owner and the artist of the Coconut Heaven Cake Shop & Cafe’. She was raised in an artistic and traditional Persian family, with the passion of baking, art and flowers. Her biggest dream was to have her own shop where she gets to combine her love of art, baking, and working with flowers. She continued her education in computer field and worked for several years, but always used any opportunity to bake cakes for different occasions. Shabi truly believed any dream is achievable, so she decided to change her career and go back to what she loves to do the most. She started from a home based business known as Fortune Cupcakes baking for family and friends. She constantly developed recipes, and took courses in order to get closer to her dream. (Designer Cakes Certificate from Bonnie Gordon College of Confectionary Arts and Floral Design Diploma from International Career School Canada)
Coconut Heaven Cake was one her first signature recipes and the most popular ones. Shortly Coconut became one of the favorite ingredients in her baking.
Coconut Heaven Cake Shop & Cafe is an expansion from Fortune Cupcakes to a retail presence creating the personal touches and an open concept sit-in café where baked goods by the slice or piece can be bought along with a hot or cold beverage. Her vision of the Coconut Heaven Cake Shop & Cafe’ was creating a place providing from scratch, fresh and tasty, cake creations made with love fulfilling customer’s dreams, as well as a peaceful and happy place to enjoy it.
