Coco Chicken is amazing! Everytime we're in Guelph we always visit! The food is consistently delicious and the staff are also very friendly. Keep it up! We love your food!
Stopped by this place while waiting around Guelph Go. Ordered chicken wings and fries from a limited menu. The wings were very good, there was no gameyness or weird aftertaste you sometimes get with Korean fried chicken. The waffle fries were good but the chicken was the star of the dish. The take out packaging was a nice eco-friendly box and lots of napkins were given.
I was pretty disappointed with the fried chicken sandwich. I got the fried chicken sandwich combo with dark meat and sweet & spicy sauce. The fries were soggy, and the chicken was moist but also soggy and had too much breading. Not sure if it was just the time I went but overall had a bad experience especially for $16.
To be honest, this can barely qualify as a sandwich. To call this chicken sandwich... a sandwich, is to say that spaghetti bolognese is a soup, or a stuffed pepper a salad. Basically two pieces of fried chicken, barely held together by two buns trying their absolute hardest not to be victims to the juiciness of the glorious chicken. Absolutely outstanding. Not a sandwich though.
I tried the chicken burger combo recently here and was simply amazed! Everything tasted fantastic and was cooked very well. Good work gentlemen, I'll definitely be back
Happy to see more diversity in the food scene with @coco_chicken_guelph, a korean fried chicken the only acceptable expansion of KFC joint in the heart of dt! The sweet & spicy chicken sandwich was sooo juicy and crispy, you even get extra thigh pieces w/ the sandwich and kimchi. This boi is on par with the best kfc sandwiches in Toronto! The popcorn chicken unfortunately was disappointing. It was white meat only and didn’t have enough honey garlic sauce on it, desert dry. The packaging is also questionable - everything except the top layer was no longer crunchy as we ate and we ate it right away in the resto The pickled veg were an extra $2 - not like authentic KFC places with unlimited radish. They were good but not worth the price for how much you get, and KFC sorely needs the hit of acid so you dont feel like youre turning into a pile of grease by the end Their menu is also very basic sandwich, popcorn chicken, wings and missing some key items. Eg, you cant order boneless/bone-in thigh meat or a whole chicken, missing popular flavours like green onion soy sauce, etc. It’s clear they weren’t trying to be authentic though, so hopefully that gap is filled someday! If you’re ever in the area highly recommend the kfc sandwich! We’ll probably be back to see if the wings are any good
Probably the best chicken I've had. Just enough spice to not be overwhelming, the small filled me up, and it was fried but not oily. Would come again. Kid-friendliness: Employees acknowledged my kids and made them feel welcomed. Wheelchair accessibility: Door opens Level with the sidewalk.
guelph today was fire but this chicken place made the trip THAT MUCH BETTER. large size like that’s easily a meal and a half and it’s pretty well priced. ALSO IT TASTES FANTASTIC and the workers were really chill too
Coco Chicken is the best Korean Fried Chicken I've had, and is my new addiction, blood type, and best friend. The food is plentiful, delicious, and stays crispy even after a night in the fridge when you have left overs, granted you rarely will because it's just THAT good. Honestly, order it tonight, and every night there after. The flavors are impeccable, the price point is right, and the portions are generous. Stop reading, you know everything you need to know. Don't waste time trying to make your own, or going to a competitor because Coco chicken is the GREATEST.
Great great sandwich. I had a honey garlic white meat chicken sandwich with spicy mayo and kimchi and it was amazing. I recommend going in person and eating outside if possible, because it is a MESSY burger but I was blown away by how delicious it is. Very crispy fried chicken despite the sauce, and the kimchi was such a great flavor on the burger. I'm not generally a big fried chicken person but I wanted to try their Korean angle and I'm so glad I did. The waffle fries seasoning was good, but a little inconsistent in cooking because of the hand cut size differences so not a big fan. I tried the popcorn chicken as a side and enjoyed it, but I think it would work better in the full coco bap meal.
