Omg! This place was dead on a Friday nite..they charged $20. /person and there as were maybe 12 ppl I the club, this place is dated..needs some upgrades, music was good tho. Very boring ..empty dance floor all nite
Well, let's just say that this place did not live up to my expectations. Flow 93.5 is always hyping up this place on the radio so my girls and I decided to go to this place yesterday. We had to pay a $20 cover charge each just to get in to see all but 15 people. It is a Saturday night. Why is the place empty? Now I know why. We should've gone to Sugar Daddy's instead. We will definitely not be returning. Wasn't worth the drive to Pickering.
Friendly staff but I've only been here this one time. Was greeted with smiles at the door. The place seemed pretty clean, but it was dark. Arrived at 10 and there weren't many people in there but by 11:30 the place was full. Had a fun time dancing although I'm not really into the style of music played that night. A lot of reggae and they say top 40 but the dj played a lot of cheesy late 80's reggae. .. Still ok to dance to with a few drinks in you but would have enjoyed some new stuff a lot more.
I was here last Saturday 1.5. This was my first visit. Pros: Staff were friendly Drinks were reasonably priced Cons: The place smelled like sewage throughout the night. I mean as in, a sewage line broke or got backed up somewhere on the premises. I had to leave the room intermittently to just get some fresh air. The music was okay, and the crowd was thin for a Saturday night. There was nothing really outstanding to bring me back here.
Watch the cleaner, cleared our table with half full drinks and the rest of our first bottle before it was done while we were all distracted. The wait staff could be more attentive. We had to keep going to the bar when we needed something and we ordered multiple bottles. The food is good. Mandatory coat check was bs especially when you have a booth, anything with a hood has to be checked. The music was great, the crowd was great.
More like a 3.5. Cover is $20 imo $10 for the "free" parking. Music is good, crowd is friendly but crowd isn't there anymore like years past. Drinks are reasonably price but need a lil more booze. What I did not like was the $40 charge Caribana weekend. It was the same like any other weekend. The girl at the counters reason for the $40 charge? "Hey it's Caribana" yet it looked like any other weekend.
Music was okay, the selection was more old school reggae which was nice, however they need to play more of today’s music. Not too packed, and to get in on a Saturday is $20.00 after 11:00pm; only came here cause it was local - don’t think I’ll attend again just for personal reasons I won’t mention here lol
This place charges $20 for cover. Umm... why so over priced. Crowd wasn't lit at all even tho the music was real good. Dj did his job but he could not save this place if you're life depended on it. Stick to a Toronto club for a real weekend going out experience or stay in your hone and place music with some liquor, I could guarantee you'll have more fun and save your hard earned $$$.
I have been going to this club for a very long time and love the music. Unfortunately I will not be going back because of there horrible customer service and pricing. Last night I started a tab at one of the bars, I had a total of 5 drink. At the end of the night when I go to pay my bill they have over charged me giving me a bunch of receipts of drinks I did not purchase and charging my credit card twice! The bartender was beyond useless saying "oh you bought a lot of drinks!" I know how many drinks I bought and what the price should have been. I am very disappointed and would like to warn all future customers to stay clear of using a tab at this club.
Extremely disappointed in Cocktail Lounge! I remember when this place first opened a few years back it was a hit. It has gone through a lot of change in the past few years but regardless is one the few clubs that still stands in Durham. So me and a small group of friends decide fairly last minute we would like to attend and purchase a bottle. As we entered the club the cover was $20 for each of us. Although I thought it would have been included as we were interested in bottle service. I also consider this fairly high considering that is what the rate is for nightclubs twice the size in downtown Toronto. They should not be charging this much. Regardless, We paid and Once inside asked the lady at the bar if we could purchase a bottle. As it was late, there was only a standing table left for our bottle which was fine. So as I paid for the bottle with forced gratuity attached, I decide to tip a little extra to ensure good service. As I tip, I just mention to the bartender that if she could keep our chase topped up that would be great. Once transaction completes. She tells me it’s $5 extra for each jug of pop/juice you want refilled. Wow! Talk about cheap!! What is the purpose of forced gratuity and tipping at all if you aren’t even receiving service?!? Turns out of course we never saw our bottle girl again after ....we ended up needing our oj refilled twice and had to walk up to the bar and wait in the crowds to pay the extra and get more.....I have been doing bottle service for a long time in all areas through out the GTA and NEVER have I been told it is extra $$$ to refill the juice. This is a service that should be included! This is why we pay so much for bottles in the club. Wow! Really made this club tacky to me. Won’t be returning.
