Great fish n chips place in Coboconk, a town just outside of where we were camping Balsam Lake Provincial Park. Poutine is really good and generously large. Fish sizes are massive. One piece is enough for an average adult. Staff super friendly and polite.
Took my son and was very impressed. It's his favorite poutine spot. Asked for extra gravy and they did not disappoint. The owner and staff are super friendly as well.
Love this amazing family they know how to make homemade French fries !! Not frozen always fresh and NOT STORE BOUGHT! So glad you have moved to a much better location at the old variety store in Coboconk! Can’t wait till you open to have your fish !!
Super friendly staff and very accommodating. Put water down for the dogs and offered up a few cold fries as treats for them. Poutine was great and fish was great as well. I'll be back 180%.
Delicious and crispy, not greasy like a lot of places. The chips were thick and cooked perfectly. I believe they are homemade and the portion size was just right. The cost was comparable or less than other places for FRESH fish & chips. They are known for their yummy poutine as well.. didn't try it but we will next time.

Perfectly fried and lightly seasoned fish, the home made tartar sauce is very good, the coleslaw isn’t loaded with sugar, home fries are the perfect colour and texture, the spray bottle vinegar is a nice touch, the individual baskets of condiments is good attention to detail, and the price is very reasonable. Everything one could possibly want in a fish n chip place. I’m probably going to come here for the rest of my life.
There is a reason this place has a 4.9 star rating! The fish and chips were incredible, as were the onion rings, and we are particularly picky when it comes to fish&chips. Pretty sure everything would be delicious from here. They even have shaded picnic tables with condiments on the tables, so you're not eating food in your car or on your lap. The owner's daughter gave my toddler a cup full of gummy bears which my toddler promptly dropped on the ground. Upon noticing this and my toddler's sad face} the owner came around and gave her another cup of gummies! Talk about a personal touch. Highly recommend and will be our go-to spot when in the area.
We love coming here when we are at the cottage. Always friendly service. Today was so fast! Yummy like always. The fries here are so good too. Highly recommend.
HIGHLEY Recommend ! I showed up before they even opened and they were still very happy to serve me . - The staff are very pleasant - Generous portions for the price - A lot of parking space - Tables with clean table covers and each table is covered with and awning. Will continue to return ;D
