Winter 1993, I was working with my uncle in northern Russia laying oil pipelines. It was an incredibly tough winter, but one thing that kept the men and I going was the warm stew and fresh rolls back at camp. Those warm doughy rolls just seemed to make everything alright, they were honestly the best rolls I ever tried, until I went to Cobs Bread in Orangeville today. The product selection is fantastic, the owners and staff are so friendly. Cobs is such a welcome addition to Orangeville. You just can't beat the quality.
Went here for the first time Sunday. The sourdough bread we got was pretty fresh and good quality. The pumpkin tarts were awful!!! The tarts were undercooked mush and the pumpkin was tasteless, they could seriously use some nutmeg or cinnamon. For the most part the customer service was good, has room to improve in a small town.
I met with the owner today while picking up pizza next door for my family. I was excited to receive a few samples and after tasting I have become VERY excited for their grand opening! The bread is soft and chewy with a perfect crust - and don’t get me started on the flavour! I made garlic bread out of their egg-dough buns and it was divine - the kids were licking the crumbs off their plate! Welcome to Orangeville Cobs!
We got burger buns from here. They were light and fluffy and tasty. You can buy loaves from here and they can cut into sandwich slices or Texas slices. They have a lot of options to choose from.
This place is AWESOME. Staff were engaging and attentive. Food was a knockout. Just give me everything. Spoke with a guy named Tyler. I could listen to this guy chat for hours. I'll definitely be back.
I am very familiar with other Cobs locations Toronto, Oakville however I was in your Orangeville location the other day and could not believe how kind and thoughtful the gentleman was behind the cash. He went through how to go on line to get points etc. I left feeling so good about great customer service and more than happy to give Orangeville Cobs my business. Thank you and happy to have your store close by.
This is a must try for everyone! Everything I have had has been very fresh and delicious. The staff are inviting and friendly. My family and I will be back and often.
I buy so much bread here- all of it is so yummy! The staff are super kind and helpful. Definitely worth a regular stop.
I'm torn with cobs bread. On the one hand it is pretty good bakery for Orangeville, but on the other hand it's just ok. Everything there is slightly above average but it's nothing I'm dying to get again, especially considering it's quite expensive. I've been 3 times, the first time we got free samples which was nice, and I was surprised that the butter croissants were quite good. The second time we had an assortment of scones and danishes, which were ok but I wouldn't go out of my way to get them. The second time I got 2 baguettes, one of which had a burnt bottom and the burnt taste went throughout the baguette, the second one was better. But that kind of variation just can't exist in a bakery. I would still recommend this place even if it seems like a scathing review, I would go back since Orangeville doesn't have much in the way of good bakeries.
Holy cow, the baked goods here are just too good. Orangeville welcomes you. Make sure to arrive on the earlier side or the item you may be looking for could be sold out.
