Cobourg Beach

It's one of the clean beaches on Lake Ontario and a definite fun on a sunny day. The weekend we visited was less crowded than expected. And Cobourg is a small county where u can definitely spend a day shopping and eating at the local eateries.

Just amazing. Lots of various food, beach is busy but great. Can walk out very far, perfect for kids and a ton of waves to keep everyone smiling. Lots of restaurants and things to see all within walking distance. Less than two hours from downtown Toronto makes it even better - easy to day-trip and sleep in your own bed after feeling a million miles from Toronto just hours before.

Great place for family beach outing. No indecency. No pets allowed on the beach. Clean sandy beach and shallow relatively warm water during beach season. Adjacent to a great park with spalshpad and a canteen for food and beverages. The new food place has no junk food and only healthy alternatives. It is disappointing that you can't have greasy food when needed at the beach.

Beautiful. Clean. Plenty of places to park. Also has a garden full of herbs where u can walk through for free. Plenty of places to eat, sit down restaurants etc. Lots of boats to admire. A pier that you can drive your car out on. Coast Guard boat and detachment there by the pier. Ice cream parlor for the kids, large beach with lots of sand for the kids. Every year it gets better and better.

Best beach in Canada! Kid/senior friendly in that you can walk out a Long way before it gets deep; groomed daily, clean water. Washrooms, kid playground, and summer canteens nearby on giant park with summertime amenities: sandcastle contest, Highland Games, midway, ribfest. Come for the weekend- lots to discover but park on side street after you set up in the park.
