This place is gorgeous. Our room is awesome. I'll let you know about the golf after Sunday. Looks like a great course! Rooms: Beautiful spacious and bright room
Amazing place with gorgeous golf course beautiful views of the lake great food and good service. Thanks Cobble Beach resort!
Great location, great staff who are so accommodating, great room overlooking the water, fine dining and a golf course too! Located just minutes north of Owen Sound on the beautiful harbour, it's great for a work trip but even better if I come back for pleasure! I certainly will come back for both!Rooms: 5/5
Lovely room. Stunning views. Nice dinner. Complimentary breakfast left a lot to be desired but it was first weekend opening after covid restrictions so likely that's been corrected. Great Getaway!
As usual, the establishment and staff are excellent. Circumstances or bad luck, or both made it that the hot tub was broken. They did offer complimentary desserts to make up for it. The Normac room was ok, nothing extraordinary, however it was hot and after opening to window to get fresh air, we were rewarded with jazz type of music that stayed on all night. It seemed to be coming off the kitchen right below us. This music unfortunately made it impossible to sleep. Elevator music is not conducive to sleep. It was still playing at 11am when we left. Overall, still a great establishment, but for $600 night and meal, we were at least expecting to be able to sleep a little.
The golf course was really great, the bridal sweet was quite nice however we were not happy with the food at the Sweatwater restaurant. Both the drinks and food were way overpriced. Upgrade costs for certain liquor and food. One piece of overcooked white fish, no side with extra charge for ceasar salad. Service was also not stellar. Sorry will not go back.
Beautiful location with views overlooking Georgian Bay. Cottage suites were cozy with very comfy beds, and the suites in the main room were very nice as well, with each one I saw being somewhat unique. Also, all were very nice and surprisingly spacious. The golf course was great to play on. It included amazing views in almost every direction, and was challenging, yet fun to play at the same time. The only thing that made the round somewhat less enjoyable was the marshall pressuring all of our groups to speed up repeatedly, despite not having anyone who was not part of our large group for a wedding, immediately behind us and waiting to play. Service from all other staff I encountered was great; even when faced with the challenge of the breakfast buffet not really having any safe options for my son, who has a number of allergies, one of the kitchen staff members offered to make oatmeal for him, then brought it out with a bowl of fruit as well. Many of them went out of their way to accommodate, and it was appreciated. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay, and would love to return some day.
The dish was excellent. The view was beautiful. We ate outside on the side patio. The service was good. However, I felt that the shrimp arugula salad I ordered, while very tasty, was quite small and therefore not satisfying enough for a lunch. Had they served it with a slice of toasted garlic bread, for example, it would have been just right. Just not enough, considering the $20.00 I had to pay, plus tip.
We went with a group of friends for a 2 day 1 night stay and play package. My 1st time being here. The course itself was beautiful. Despite heavy rains for days prior to tee off and most of the course being a huge puddle...including greens, the aesthetics and scenery made it still worthwhile.... on the 2nd day, course was in much better shape and golf was that much better. What wasn't acceptable and definitely making the 3 hr drive there regrettable, was the attitude of staff and the level of service we received from the starter, course marshals, restaurant and bar and even the rooms themselves. I had higher expectations from such a place and that staff would be properly trained and treat guests accordingly. But we were treated like we really didnt matter and that our business was almost unwelcomed. The restaurants were understaffed. Hence very long waits to get our food, beverages and any type of service. We dont blame the servers but the management need to do better to staff more accordingly. The 1st night, we were told the restaurant was full due to a reservation for 20 people. While we were there we saw 2 tables of 10 each. During a time when covid is again out of control and I believe the government has issued maximum limits of 6 per table???? Unbelievable. Our room was nice and spacious enough. There was an upper level with a Murphy bed and a sofa, and a queen bed on first floor. Bathroom was large and had a walk in shower and large soak tub. However, again during a time when I believe hotels are required to not only clean but sanitize rooms after each stay, there was a long piece of hair over 12 inches still on the bathroom floor. Cleaning is not a priority here obviously. Even with all that didnt meet expectations, it was the interactions with staff that was most disappointing. The starter, range caretaker, and other course related staff were just plain rude, unfriendly, and obviously did not care about amy of the guests and how they felt. 8/10 for the course and 2/10 for staff. I would never go back nor recommend to anyone.
Beautiful location, rooms are very comfortable, breakfast is delicious. But if you say you have EV charging, picture it on your website and list it on plug share then your EV charging should actually work, arriving here to be told oh it's not hooked up is unacceptable and inconvenientRooms: 5/5
