I arrived at the hotel around 2 PM, a bit earlier than the standard check-in time, and was pleasantly surprised that the front desk receptionist was able to check me in early and even upgraded me to a room on the top floor. That was a great start to my stay and much appreciated.nnThe location of the hotel is absolutely fantastic—right on the Inner Harbour and walking distance to many of Victoria’s main attractions. If you’re visiting for the views and convenience, this place delivers.nnThat said, the hotel shows its age. The building and especially the elevators feel quite dated. If you’re looking for a sleek, modern hotel experience, this might not be the place for you. It has more of a classic or older charm, depending on your taste.nnAnother downside was breakfast—not included in the stay. There’s no breakfast buffet, and you have to pay extra if you want to eat at the hotel in the morning.nnOverall, a mixed experience: excellent service and unbeatable location, but lacking in modern amenities and inclusions you might expect at this price point.
This hotel was one of the nicest I’ve ever stayed at. Upon checking in, I was notified I was the customer of the day and we received lots of perks. My partner and I felt welcome and enjoyed the restaurant and amazing harbor views from the balcony. Close to amenities but away from all the tourist buzz. Room was clean and spacious. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
This was our first time staying here. We stayed here for two nights. The service was amazing and the staff were very friendly. Our room was really nice and clean. We were hoping to get a harbour view, but unfortunately it was all sold out so we got a partial view, which was not bad either. The beds and the pillows and the blankets are super comfortable. The hot tub and pool were really nice as well as the sauna. We also used the gym, which was great. It’s a walking distance to wharfs fisherman market. The two downsides that I had here were number 1: The air conditioning unit is very loud, It’s fine when it’s on, but then it shuts off after a while and makes this big click sound that wakes you up, and then 20 minutes later, it starts running again and it continues like that all night, due to that I didn’t sleep too well. The second downside was the parking, both nights the parking was full so we had to drive out to ask the front desk and they allowed us to park in the front. I wish hotels offered free parking especially if you stayed more than 1 night. I also wish they offered robes in the rooms. I attached a photo of a review from the partial view room.
It was our first time staying at this location and it was perfect! Fisherman’s wharf, Ogden point and the legislature area all within walking distance! Our partial view of the marina was beautiful. The indoor/outdoor pool was a highlight for my daughter! We all slept well. And the staff were all very friendly! We will be back!
I stayed here in April/2025 for 3 nights. The staff are kind, courteous and very efficient and I would say this is the best thing about the Hotel plus the fact it's Pet Friendly and a 2 minute walk to the Wharf and along the sea front. HOWEVER, the Pet Friendly rooms have miniature balconies that are NOT very clean. I found the Hotel itself to be dated, and many things did not work properly. The underground parking is $26/day if you are a Coast member, but be fore-warned, there are two separate elevators, one from the underground parking area into the Hotel and then a second one in the main lobby, so if you have lots of luggage, it is an absolute inconvenience taking two different elevators to get to your room! Further to that, the fridge in my room did not work, and that was replaced, took an entire evening. Then the second fridge did not work properly either, so had to use the staff fridge and go back and forth to reception to retrieve my cold items every evening. Absolute inconvenience. The Hot Tub was COLD and so was the Pool, and heating system was obviously not working properly. People were wrapped up and shivering in the elevator. Very disappointing since I booked this Hotel for the spa feature. The Toto Toilet seems to be the main feature of the Hotel, but not very impressive and unsure why one needs a talking toilet with numerous options? I don't know why a toilet is the main feature of any Hotel? I was given a discount on my overall bill, but honestly, should have received a free night for all the inconveniences rather than a wee discount on my final bill. If you are staying for the Toto Toilet experience, I would say, go somewhere else, don't waste your money here, stay somewhere else in Victoria that offers actual spa features and better accommodation for Dogs.
