Last night there was an incident at Electric Avenue on Crescent street. We enter, pay our coat check and gather at the bar. My nephew goes to the washroom, where one bouncer is waiting for him. He is asked to leave for no reason. I asked what the reason was, but the bouncer would not answer. While we wait for our coats, four bouncers jump him, choke him and push him out. I don’t drink. He’s had a couple of drinks but is not drunk. I asked for a refund since we were inside for less than 5 minutes. I wait, but the bouncer who kicked out my nephew grabs me to get out. He tried to grab me, and I yelled to tell him not to touch me. My partner and I get pushed out. As we left the premises, he came up the stairs and spat at our faces!!! He grabs my partner’s foot and trips her. After she gets up, we cross the street. He’s running after us. I ran to a police car parked there to get help, but no one was there. All of us are in front of Winston Churchill pub. He was still following us.
Simply amazing! The DJ knows what he's doing! My 54 years old mother came out with us and had the time of her life! This is the place to be for any fan of retro music!
This place was absolutely a mess. My friend and I went late Saturday night and it was mostly an older crowd. Some people were really going nuts on the dance floor and not in a good way. The bartender in the back was absolutely great BUT the bartender in the front was a wreck. She was clearly drunk and was falling all over the place. She fell on the floor twice and sat there for a quick moment before getting up again. I don’t even know what kind of shot she gave us but she literally forgot to charge us. We of course told her but it was crazy here. I know so many better places then this
I struggle between 3 & 4. I have to say that we had a great time. Music was awesome, danced all night, but the drinks are stupid expensive, watered down and really small for the price. I know others say it's the same at other places.....no, not really. Prices are similar, but other places at least use bigger glasses.
Do not waste your money for this club. All securities are rude especially one bold black guy. He kicked me and my friends out on Saturday night and his reason was that you do not smell good!!!!!!! When the club is busy, the kick out people for different reasons and buy tickets for new people. They charges me 30 CAD but I was there just for 1 hour!!!! Do not waste your money there!!!
Music was good. Good mix of throwback tunes which was nice. Crowd was a but on the older side too which was nice, but might have just been by fluke. Drinks ridiculously expensive but no different than the other clubs. Good time overall
The worst experience ever. Service is nul and staff are agressive. Alcohol is adulterated seatings are uncomfortable after paying 238$ for two persons.
We are 50 so thought this would be fun dance place cause it was advertised as aa 90s damce misic club. It had a nice mix of ages and a great dance floor. The drinks were seriously watered down and the music was more 90s wedding reception complete with macarena and conga line. They took old pop and rock and added a dance beat. We left shortly after Bob Seger with added dance beat. Where was Salt N Peppa, Ice Cube, Dr Dre. Where was the actual dance/hip hop music from the 90s?
Reserved two tables for a birthday party. Was difficult to be allowed in by the bouncers, apparently there was a dress code but no where on their website does it say that?? The bouncers have an attitude problem. When I asked the bouncer "what's the dress code then?" He laughed and said "well I'm wearing a suit". Anyway dress code didn't even matter, most of the people there were dressed in jeans and a t-shirt. Paid 22$ for coat check even though we were on a list, they charged others in our group 3$ so they scammed us and 16$ for two bottles beers. Ridiculously expensive for mediocre service. Music was okay. The only highlight of this place is that one waiter Adam, he was great. Otherwise I would skip this place if I were you.
This club is the worst experience I have had in my life. We showed our ID and got inside. They wanted us to keep a denim jacket and a sweatshirt at the coatroom. I don't know why they didn't allow us because my friend wore a sweatshirt even though I saw other people come out of the club with jackets on the bouncers are Rude, the coat room ladies are Rude, overall don't go to this place if you plan to ruin your night.
