Updated: thank you to management for their prompt response!nnNice well maintained 9 hole course that is a short drive from the city. Not too many obstacles and the staff are overall very friendly and efficient to ensure a good pace of play. I’ve played here almost every week for the past year and the experience has been good, never had any issues with the staff or course marshal.nnOne minor observation / issue: a few of the older club members can be very condescending and rude in their attitude towards younger players when paired together. Some common behaviours I’ve witnessed from them: standing right next to you on the tee only 2-3 meters away that’s almost within reach of your club; walking far ahead of you before you even finish your shot. Taking multiple rehits themselves on the Tee while telling younger players that they are not allowed a rehit because “we need to keep pace” but the same rule doesn’t apply to them when they mess up.nnI hope management could address the above disrespectful and rude behaviours from several of the older club members. Because they can genuinely ruin the overall playing experience for everyone else visiting the club.
Hands down my favorite place for a quick 9 holes in the greater Montreal area.
This is a well maintained 9 hole public golf course which is located in a relatively densely populated area. Living nearby, there are few other convenient golf locations so this place is an absolute gem if you want to get a quick 9 holes in.nnI took lessons with their house pro Louis Daoust who is a terrific person and teacher. I highly recommend him to anyone beginner or experienced as he not only teaches technique, but also the mindset of golf and has a true passion for the game that is infectious.nnThe course is relatively easy with some wide fairways, few obstacles and flat greens with the exception of hole 8 which has a green that slopes in all directions.nnI have always found the staff and the other golfers there to be quite courteous. Some of the reviews paint a picture of the place I havent seen. However, I noticed that a number of the negative reviews came from beginners that were asked to leave or speed up;nand so I understand their frustration but also the perspective of the golf club. The club is seeking to cater to golfers of all levels but a key selling point of the place is speed of play something important for all courses. They do usually have a pretty full roster of golfers for the day and hence keeping speed of play at optimal is a core part of their business model. I would suggest that new golfers who want more time to play drive a little bit further out on the south shore and play courses that are less busy and perhaps seek to play later in the day after 3 pm as they will have more time to play without being rushed.nnAll in all, I really hope this place stays open for years to come as we’ve lost many good courses on the south shore of Montreal over the last 10 years and we can’t afford to lose another. :-
I've been to a good few courses in Quebec and have had amazing experiences. So I thought I'd try the one next to my house.nnHowever this course was the most unwelcoming, they had me and my friends removed from the course on the first TEE just cause of 2 bad shots.nnThe staff were rude and we had to argue for a refund after not being able to play. Unless you're an old player of the sport don't bother going. They hate people that aren't perfect.nnVery unwelcoming for below average players and or new players.
Went to the club with a few of my friends and we were kicked off the course not even making it off the first tee, the reason being is that we were to slow and not skilled enough even if we didn’t have a chance to play. Not beginners friendly. don’t even bother going if you’re not over 60 years old with 100 years of experiencenin golf.
