I grew up on this course and it was a long overdue treat to play it for the first time in 25+ years yesterday. Still has nice conditions in the fairway and greens, but numerous tee boxes definitely need some attention. Heading back for round 2 today, just wish my dad could join me on the walk down memory lane.
This is really a top public golf course in the area, but it is best for experienced golfers - more like a private golf club that is public. There is a nice putting green and chipping green, but the driving range is distance-limited with nets for practicing longer clubs. The layout is a bit tight, and wildly errant shots may endanger other golfers. The pace is quick and monitored. The greens are quick and full of subtle breaks. So, overall, it is a real challenge but a very nice course with excellent tee boxes, fairways and greens. Water comes into play on a few holes. It is easy to walk this course, and you will want to play it again after your first time because you know you will do better the next time after learning from your mistakes!
Beautiful golf course. The only negative thing I can say is that they seem to be missing personnel. Oh and thank you to Marc for the golf lesson he taught to my son Caleb.
Nice course, good condition, easy access to practice areas.nThe majority of the greens are elevated, so choose your clubs carefully.
Best city course around.. you wouldn't believe you're in the middle of the city .. this course is manicured to a T .. amazing staff too ..
