One of, if not the largest dance floor in a non dance club atmosphere. Food was good. Service was good and the actual atmosphere and layout of the place is very condusive to relaxing and enjoying the music. The live bands are always a treat and great to see a venue that really is dedicated to the local music scene in addition to other bands. There is so much talent in this area too.
Wow. What a surprise. Kept some of the old decor for nostalgia but a great job at renovating. Steve, the head chef was a pleasure to meet and full of information about his menu. Fab special with a pitcher of beer and 2 lbs of delicious wings for only $35. Bar staff friendly and knowledgeable. The entertainment was Peter Shea and his band who did as wonderful job at updating some old favourites. Some great entertainment booked for the coming weeks. Check it out.
Nice rejigging of the building for sure. Great food! Got 2 delicious pulled pork sliders with a mountain of fries for $9, great value. Nothing more than 15 bucks on the food menu. Edit so excited about the food I forgot to mention the great staff. So friendly and very attentive. Becca was so welcoming and gave us the whole run down on the menu and all the features, we didn't know what to choose it all sounded so good. Saw a set of sliders go to another table and we had to try them out!
As a musician, I just played two gigs at Club 55 in November. It was a very pleasant business experience with the venue expressing exactly what they wanted, I always appreciate having an outline of what's expected. The sounds techs, Todd one time and Amanda the next, are pleasant and treat the gig like a team effort. The monitors sound fantastic and when I stayed for the next act, the FOH mix was excellent as well. As a customer, the menu was delicious and the prices are very fair. Kevin even catered to my girlfriend's preferences when she got their cheese platter. She's pregnant and was advised not to eat certain cheeses, he knew exactly what she talking about and chose cheeses that would all be safe for her. She also isn't agreeing with too much spice so he toned down any spicy elements of the platter. It's always so nice to be catered to like that and I look forward to stopping by again whether I'm performing or just visiting.
It's alright. I've experienced some of the music night's which were really good. The food, is typically delicious, too As it's only a few months since it's been open, it's done fairly good. I believe Club 55 will continue to grow in every way and meet the "likes" of many Come out & enjoy
What a wonderful change! This place is now locally owned and operated. They have a great menu, especially at lunch time. Local cooks. They do some amazing charity events. Let's support a great new local venue.
Went to watch my friends band play ! The sound was amazing , renovated club looks great ! But then the WOW factor ! The presentation of the food had my mouth watering before the first bite ! Then again as you taste the food it’s just as good as it looks ! I believe it’s Kevin I met from the kitchen , but what an amazingly talent gentleman ! He clearly Puts his heart into his work , I can’t wait to try his next dish
Very fun place to be in! The live band was totally worth seeing! A little bit of rock and roll and a little bit of country. I loved it all!!! I will return for sure! Definately a bar worth visiting! Great food and the servers treat you well also!
What a great experience, the band was up on the rooftop which is a great idea, everyone can see them & you could still have a conversation without shouting, the staff was very friendly, our server even made suggestions for our benefitwho doesn't love to save money? Probably the BEST chicken Quesadilla I have ever had, no lie! The wing sauce was homemade & the poutine was also one of the best, real curds. The chef even came out to check if the food was to our satisfaction, as I said a great experience. We will definitely be going back!!!
