2 stars for cleanliness, the hostess, and a great view. Unfortunately, the service and food was horrible. When taking an order, write it down to ensure accuracy. Have enough staff for the amount of customers seated. If your short staffed, don’t continue to seat customers until your caught up. Have basic condiments accessible for immediate use cream, sugar, ketchup, jam. We had to wait for all the above. The food was a disappointment to say the least. Both our orders were wrong, the hash browns were cold, eggs were undercooked, breakfast meat was wrong and the toast wasn’t dry. Please write the order down next time. I hope this was an off day and not business as usual. The view was incredible.
This place is really really good. If the weather is nice make sure to head up to the sky bar. The signiture burger, daily soup and pizzas are some of the best food between Portland and Seattle. The Bloody Marys are complex and also very, very good. There are some secret rooms in this place but I am not giving those away, just know they are there and totally worth looking around for.
Seriously one of the most beautiful restaurants in the area... tricky to get to but well worth the effort. Secret rooms, eclectic decor and a beach to boot!! There's something for everyone here!! It's more than a restaurant it's like a destination it's literally a lodge and you can stay here I loved the history and education you get from reading the walls. There's even authentic totem poles that are massive and beautiful... simply amazing and pure entertainment for the eyes and soul. I'm not a drinker so I can't speak about the bars but there's even a log cabin about a 1/2 mile away where they used to hang out and drink by the fire along the water. You gotta check this place out!!
Beautiful place, on the harbor. Beautiful views at sunset. Food was delicious and fast. Waitress not very attentive wanted to try the pudding..but the time she came around was too late...anyways..good food
Great water views! You’ll always enjoy a McMenamins Cajun tots need in say more… lots of parking. Close to the freeway, beautiful walking paths along the water if you wish for a stroll after dinner it’s good for you, try it haha.
Food was decent but cold and overpriced. Had the carnivore pizza and salmon burger. The burger was dry even though the fish was not over cooked. Service was mediocre but the environment was pleasant. Sat on the patio and the weather was great. Wished the railing was lower to view the river better, though.
A lovely place to spend the day, eve, or perhaps a few... Don't let the exterior fool you; inside you will find a microbrewery, gift shop, restaurant, two pubs one has live music. There are also some secrets rooms to find... if you dare! Plenty of parking, seating outdoors as well. If you come... you should also visit the cabin pub down south from the lodge. It is cozy on a cool day.
This gem is right off the freeway, with gorgeous views of the harbor. True Mcmenamins style, funky with flair. My sister stayed in their waterfront view room with a balcony, which was definitely worth the price. We ate at the pub, the food and drinks were delicious and the server was very accommodating. We also found the secret rooms which made our trip even more fun! Can't wait to stay here myself.
Dinner one night; lunch the next day. Excellent both times. The view is perfect, the food is good, and the staff/service is friendly and prompt. I had the chicken satay skewers for lunch, and they were very, very good pickled carrot & daikon slaw underneath was incredible. They even brought me a pitcher of iced-tea to fill my large travel cup before I hit the road again, at no extra charge!
Not really worth it. Overpriced, low quality food in small proportions. If you're staying at the hotel I guess you don't have much choice but don't drive yourself out here for the food. You can enjoy the shoreline without eating at the pub. Drinks are what you'd expect from McMenamins. Decent beer and cocktails. Waitstaff did their best during the rush but the kitchen kept making errors, causing confusion, comps, and disappointment all around. Not an easy job, I know, but I cant recommend the experience and end result. Kudos to the waitstaff keeping it together. Don't give them any guff. If you want a hamburger, I recommend getting 2 for $5 whoppers at Burger King instead and sitting on the patio or shoreline with some beers. If you want a cafeteria-grade burger with tater tots and bad produce and money is no object, consider dining here for the lols. Otherwise, stick to drinks and have patience.
